China is rich in magnesite resources,mainly distributed in Liaoning,Shandong,Gansu and other regions.After many years of large-scale mining,fewer and fewer high-quality resources can directly meet the production requirements,but the utilization rate of high-silicon magnesite ore is very low in the actual production,so the effective development and utilization of high-silicon magnesite ore is urgent.At present,flotation method is widely used in the separation and purification of low-grade mineral resources,in which flotation agents have become a key factor affecting the flotation effect.Therefore,this thesis studies the ore of high-silicon magnesite in a region of Liaoning province,and studies the new cationic collector to provide theoretical reference for the removal of impurities in magnesite.According to the Amics process mineralogy study,the highest content of magnesite in a magnesite ore in Liaoning is Mg,and the associated elements that can be comprehensively utilized are Ca,Si,Al and Fe.The relationship between magnesite and gangue is complicated,and dolomite is the most serious,accounting for 11.96%.The main particle size range of magnesite is 7.88~63.07μm,and the ore distribution size is fine overall.At the interface,magnesite,quartz and algarnet are embedded and symbiosis,and are also covered by hornblende.Some magnesite is embedded among gangue grains in the form of tiny star spots.The results laid a foundation for the purification of a high silicon magnesite in Liaoning.Using a tertiary amine and a phosphate ester as the main components,a new collector XY73 was developed.The flotation effect of XY73 was verified by flotation tests on three single minerals,quartz,dolomite and magnesite,and the flotation effect was compared with that of dotwelve amine.When XY73 is used as collector,the floating rates of quartz,dolomite and magnesite are 91.26%,40.86%and 36.59%,respectively.When dodecylamine was used as collector,the floating rates of quartz,dolomite and magnesite were 84.12%,50.45%and 39.14%,respectively,indicating that the new collector XY73 showed good collection performance and selectivity.In the artificial mixed mineral test,XY73 is used as collector,and the content of Si O2in sample 1 is 5.68%,and the recovery is 58.64%.In sample 2,a concentrate with Si O2content of 0.27%and recovery of 52.5%was obtained,and all the indexes were better than dodecylamine.The main gongue minerals of a magnesite ore in Liaoning are quartz and dolomite.The Mg O content of 1#ore is 40.68%and Si O2content is 12.59%.With XY73 as collector,concentrate with Mg O content of 43.42%,Si O2content of 4.98%and Ca O content of 0.63%was obtained under the appropriate reagent system.The recovery rate is 70.06%.Using dodecylamine as collector,the flotation index of concentrate with Mg O content of 43.17%,Si O2content of 5.59%,Ca O content of0.71%and recovery of 70.43%was obtained.The content of Mg O in 2#ore is45.52%,and the content of Si O2is 2.61%.In XY73 system,a concentrate with Mg O content of 47.54%,Si O2content of 0.17%,Ca O content of 0.29%and recovery rate of75.82%was obtained.With dodecylamine as collector,the results showed that the content of Mg O,Si O2and Ca O was 47.25%,0.19%and 0.33%,and the recovery was72.35%.The flotation separation between minerals can be realized.All indexes of XY73 are significantly superior to dodecylamine.According to infrared spectrum analysis,the interaction between collector XY73and mineral surface is a combination of physical adsorption and chemical adsorption,and the adsorption effect of collector on dolomite is stronger than that of magnesite.Contact Angle measurement shows that XY73 has a stronger collecting ability for quartz and dolomite than dodecylamine,and a weaker collecting ability for magnesite than dodecylamine,showing certain selectivity,which is beneficial to reverse flotation desilication and decalcification of magnesite.Zeta potential mechanism analysis shows that the isoelectric points of magnesite and dolomite are close to each other.Quartz has a low isoelectric point,and the corresponding p H is about 1.16.The obvious difference of isoelectric points of different minerals can guide the separation of actual ores.It is consistent with the experimental conclusion.This research provides the experimental basis for the efficient utilization of low grade magnesite resources.
