| Organic small molecular gel is a three-dimensional network formed by non-covalent bond connection, which has self-assembly characteristics and good dynamic reversibility, and can realize many complex structures and functions.Cholesterol is widely found in animals and plants, and its advantages of low cost and easy derivation of functional groups are often used in the synthesis of organic small molecule gels. This paper mainly introduces other groups in cholesterol,so that the gel has new functions, and the operation is simple and the cost is low.1.An organic small molecule gel factor(Y1)based on cholesterol and styrylpyridine was designed and synthesized for the adsorption of organic solvents and dyes in water. The gel factor Y1 forms stable gels(Y1G)in aromatic solvents such as toluene and xylene with a low critical gel concentration.Further studies revealed that Y1 can phase-selectively adsorb organic solvents in water and form stable gels.If the water contains organic dyes,Y1 can adsorb dyes during the gel formation process, and the adsorption rates of bright green, bromocresol green, malachite green, and bromocresol violet are all over 90%,among which,Y1G has the best adsorption rate of 99.5%for bright green. This provides a new idea and method for the removal of organic solvents and dyes in water.2.An organic small molecule gel factor(Y2)based on cholesterol and salicylaldehyde was designed and synthesized for ion-specific response applications. It was found that Y2 can be used as a multi-stimulus-responsive chemical sensor for the detection of Na+and I-.The detection limit of Y2 was 1.280×10-6 M for I-and 5.54×10-6 M for Na+.This compound can be used as a multi-stimulus-responsive ion sensor and detects I-and Na+. |
