Sheet metal has a wide range of applications in various fields,most of the existing production methods for stamping forming,but stamping forming needs a separate design of the mold,mold has a long manufacturing cycle,high processing economic cost,not suitable for manufacturing personalized products.Progressive forming can overcome these problems.Progressive forming is a flexible forming technique that uses a rod-like tool to perform local plastic forming accumulation and specified trajectory expansion on a sheet metal.In order to solve the problem of large forming torque of the conventional progressive forming machine tool when machining parts with large forming Angle,and to reduce the stress on the tool,improve the stress condition of materials in the process of machining,and improve the forming limit of sheet metal.In this paper,a kind of tilting tool is designed.Specific research and development contents are as follows:1.Based on the analysis of the properties of the given commercial 1060 aluminum alloy and the given product shape,in order to avoid the conventional machine tool forming large Angle parts,there are large forming torque,stress problems.A tool tilting machining method and negative forming method are proposed.2.In order to meet the requirements of tool tilting machining and ensure the machining quality and feasibility,the tool tilting is determined to be driven by a motor,and the tool tilting Angle is determined to be ±50°.In order to realize the stable machining of large tilt Angle of the tool,the scheme and mechanism of the clamping and fixing parts of the tool were designed.3.In order to match the tool structure,the clamping structure and fixed structure of sheet metal were designed.4.In order to realize the three-way motion of the cutting tool on the processed sheet material in the process of progressive forming,the X-axis driving direction of the clamping part of the sheet material is designed,and the Y-Z plane driving direction of the cutting tool is designed.And check the key parts to verify its reliability.5.On the basis of comprehensive consideration of forming force,forming speed and other requirements,choose the stepper electrical structure and control system.The control system was programmed with Lab VIEW language to write three kinds of motion programs,namely,uniaxial linear motion program,prism forming program and vertical plane machining program,in order to form thin-wall prism with large forming Angle and lay a foundation for subsequent analysis and experiment.6.Test and verify the progressive forming equipment.The results show that the tool tilting machining has a larger forming limit,which can improve the stress,torque and material forming limit.
