The purpose of and every organization is continuous growth,increased productivity and increased performance in order to generate maximum profit.No resource is more critical to an organization’s success than its human resources are.Human factors are one of the most important factors in an organization in that their productivity could lead to the growth and success of an organization or lead to the downfall and decline of an organization.Motivation brings out excitement,happiness,positive expectations and positive energy.In light of this it can be said when employees are motivated it leads to like and enjoy what they do which in turn can lead them to generate more innovative and creative ideal for the organization as well as finding solutions to tackle issues affecting their organization.Basically,nothing is more important than an organization’s employees and so is employees motivation.In light of the importance of employee motivation for organizations this study aims to identify and evaluate the impact of employee motivation on organizational performance focused on the Ghana Oil Company.Also discover the relationship between motivation and organizational performance as well as identify the most dominant motivational factors influencing the employees of the Ghana Oil company.To increase their profit margins,it is a necessity for organizations to focus more on their employees and also shift some of their resources into providing some kind of incentives towards their employees which will set to motivate the work performances.The data used in this study was from primary data through the use of questionnaires distributed to employees of the Ghana Oil Company of which 190 were collected from respondents in the head office of the Ghana Oil Company.The population of the study was the Ghana Oil Company narrowed down to the head office with 200 workers.The focus on the head office of the Ghana Oil Company is due to the fact that there are workers of different management levels as well as branch managers and other staff at the head office.The analytical method used was the structural modelling analysis method.The analysis result from this study showed that motivation has a positive impact on the performance of the employees in the Ghana Oil Company.The study establishes that,financial incentives,praise & recognition,training &development,career advancement and job security are ways of employee motivation that positively impact on organizational performance.Therefore,the study concludes and establishes the fact that if an organization focuses on employees.motivation and are collectively determined and enforced,employees’ and organizational performance would be sustainably and majorly improved and enhanced through producing higher performances from workers.With recommendations on this study the company can consider employee recognition programs such as employee of the month recognition where commitment and targets are taken into consideration in deciding the winner.Also a system should be put in place to track the progress of the employee motivation factors that will be adopted in order to ensure it is being beneficial to the employees and subsequently the organization.Finally,if the company is unable to implement several motivational factors due to circumstances,it can focus on adopting a few of the employee motivation factors and implement those effectively.
