At present,China is in a period of economic development and transformation,and its territorial space has entered a stage of reconstruction.At the same time,problems in the process of land space utilization have gradually emerged,mainly manifested in the blind expansion of construction land,the overburdened carrying capacity of resources and the environment,and the degradation of ecosystem functions.In order to solve the problems existing in regional land use and further promote sustainable social and economic development,land use transition has emerged as a new way of research on land use /cover change.Land use transition is the change of land use form(dominant form and recessive form).However,the current research on land use transition focuses on the dominant form,and the research on the recessive form is relatively weak and the transition mechanism of regional land use transition is unclear,and its ecological environment effect is limited to the existing path.Therefore,it is of great significance for promoting the rational development and utilization of land to deepen the research on land use transition.Fujian Province is mountainous and hilly,and the land space available for development and utilization is limited.At the same time,it undertakes the mission of building a national-level ecological civilization pilot zone,and regional development has the dual goals of economic construction and ecological environmental protection.Therefore,clarifying the characteristics,driving mechanisms and ecological environment effects of regional land use transformation under the terrain gradient can provide scientific basis for improving the quality of land use and cultivating the rational transition of regional land use.Based on the above,this study took Fujian Province as the research area and2000-2020 as the research period to analyze the temporal and spatial characteristics of land use dominant morphological transitions under gradients such as elevation,slope and terrain index.By constructing the evaluation index system of land use recessive transition from three dimensions of economy,society and ecology,this study quantified the land use recessive transition in 64 county units,and analyzed its spatial and temporal distribution characteristics.By constructing the driving factor set,this paper used the spatial econometric model to study and analyze the influencing factors of land use transition,and analyzed of the driving mechanism of regional land use transition.Then,through the regional ecological environment quality index,land use transition ecological contribution rate and gray correlation model to explore the ecological environment effect of regional land use transition,and analyzed the impact of terrain gradient on the ecological environment effect.Through the analysis of the results,the problems existing in the transition of regional land use are revealed,and the regulatory direction and countermeasures are provided for promoting the rational transformation of regional land use and regional sustainable development.Here are the main conclusions:(1)Regional land use transition had obvious topographic gradient characteristics.Under the elevation gradient,the transition extent of cultivated land,forest land,grassland and construction land decreased with the elevation increased,and the transition range of them were the largest below 300 m.The transformation range of cultivated land and construction land generally decreased with the increase of the slope.And the transformation range was the largest when the slope is 2~6°,among which the cultivated land was mainly transferred out,the construction land was mainly transferred in.The woodland and grassland are in the When the slope is 6°~15°,the transformation range was the largest.Under the terrain niche index gradient,the transformation range of the cultivated land and construction land decreased with the terrain niche index gradient increased,and the transformation range was the largest in the first gradient.the transformation range of other land use type was smaller.The transformation speed of construction land generally increased with the increase of the terrain gradient.(2)The quantity and structural characteristics of regional land use transition were that the area of cultivated land,forest land and grassland decreased,and the area of construction land increased and the transformation range and speed of cultivated land and construction land continue to decline.The dominant type of land use transition were the transformation of cultivated land,forest land and grassland into construction land,and the mutual conversion of forest land and grassland.The spatial characteristics of land use dominant morphological transformation were that the southeastern coastal areas were intensively concentrated,mainly construction land expansion,and the western and central regions are relatively gently scattered,with the mutual conversion of cultivated land and forest land,and the mutual conversion of forest land and grassland.In terms of time series,the transition of recessive of land use was on the rise as a whole,but it showed the characteristics of increased low-value agglomeration,and the differences between counties and units increased.Spatially,the recessive morphological transition of land use generally presented a distribution pattern of high in the east and low in the west.The topographic position index and the land use recessive form transition index were generally negatively correlated,and the land use recessive form transition index decreased with the increase of the topographic gradient.The aggregation relationship between the topographic position index and the land use recessive form transition index in the region were mainly as follows: low-high type and high-low type.The low-high type was concentrated in the eastern coast,and the high-low type was concentrated in the southwest of Fujian.(3)Land use transition is the result of the combined effects of economic,social and natural factors,among which economic development,population growth,improvement of urbanization level and improvement of traffic conditions are the main driving forces for the expansion of construction land.The transformation of cultivated land and forest land has a great relationship with cultivated land protection and ecological civilization construction;the transformation of forest land and grassland is mainly based on natural factors.(4)Under the transition of land use,the regional eco-environmental quality index was generally stable in time series,but slightly decreased.Forest land,grassland and cultivated land ensured the stability of the regional ecosystem quality.Spatially,the regional ecological environment quality index generally presented a distribution pattern of high in the west and low in the east.The reduction of forest area was the main reason for the decline of regional ecological quality.The impact of land use recessive morphological transition on the quality of the ecological environment was increasing.The ecological environment quality index had a strong correlation with the terrain position index,which increased with the increase of the terrain position index.At the same time,with the increase of the terrain gradient level,the number of county units with high ecological environment quality increased.(5)According to the problems existing in the transformation of land use,Fujian Province should use land according to local conditions,and fully consider the impact of terrain factors on land use.Construction land should be transformed from incremental expansion to stock revitalization to improve land use efficiency.To ensure the dynamic balance of the total amount and the food production function of cultivated land,strict cultivated land protection policies should be adopted.The allocation of ecological land in the southeast coastal area should be ensured and building an urban ecological security pattern.Government should clear obstacles for the transformation of the recessive of land use to promote the coordinated and balanced development of land use transformation.
