The toothed C-shaped channel steel studied in this paper belongs to a complex cross-section in terms of its cross-sectional shape.At present,C-shaped channel steel with teeth is mostly formed by hot rolling and cold bending,while this study is completely formed by hot rolling.Hot rolling can reduce the internal stress of steel parts through heat treatment during rolling,improving the stability and success rate of rolling.The finished product studied in this paper has teeth for precise positioning and increased firmness in the feet.This product is mainly used in the construction industry,providing fixed technology for curtain wall engineering,nuclear power plants,high-speed railway trunk lines,and locomotive construction.With the development of the construction industry and the increasing convenience of transportation,the application of this product will be more extensive.The research purpose of this article is to design a pass system based on understanding the current research statu s at home and abroad and summarizing the early research of our research group,ensuring that the newly given billet can be rolled into finished products,providing reference for the rolling process of the company’s toothed C-shaped channel steel.Using finite element software DEFORM-3D for numerical simulation,the elongation,rolling force,temperature,metal flow velocity and other parameters of the rolled piece during the rolling process were analyzed and summarized,and feedback was formed on the design of the pass system.Finally,a set of pass systems with fewer passes and higher efficiency was obtained.Then,the designed pass system was validated through rolling experiments.The good agreement between the rolled piece and the finished product in ter ms of cross-sectional shape and size proves the effectiveness of this system.The problem of high production costs caused by large billets and low rolling efficiency caused by multiple rolling passes has been solved.At the same time,the idea of using pla tes replaced by aviation,automotive and other equipment as billets has been determined,expanding the range of billet sources,reducing material waste,saving energy consumption,and providing experience for future rolling.
