Economic development and energy consumption are closely linked,and global energy security and environmental problems are becoming increasingly prominent,in order to meet the challenges,the international community attaches great importance to energy and environmental issues,and energy transformation has become the unanimous goal of the international community.In September2020,China clearly put forward the "dual carbon" goal,that is,strive to peak carbon dioxide emissions before 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality before 2060,which demonstrates China’s firm determination to take a green,low-carbon and environment-friendly path.Therefore,as the main force of the energy industry,power enterprises are actively accelerating the process of energy transformation while conscientiously implementing the requirements of clean and low-carbon development.This paper takes Shanghai Electric Power’s green transformation performance as the research object,uses case study method,qualitative and quantitative analysis method and comparative analysis,and combines the "triple bottom line",sustainable development and stakeholder theory,on the basis of Shanghai Electric Power’s successful transformation,to analyze the changes in financial performance,environmental performance and social responsibility performance before and after the transformation.Based on this,the experience of its transformation measures that is conducive to improving the performance of enterprises and the aspects that need attention to green transformation are summarized,and it is hoped that it can provide practical significance for the green transformation of China’s power enterprises.Through research,this paper draws the following conclusions:(1)Shanghai Electric Power’s gross profit has increased,because the potential of new energy production equipment invested in the transformation has not been fully released,there is still more room for improvement in actual utilization,thermal power generation is still the main power supplier,which in turn increases the debt burden of enterprises and the asset operation effect is not good,and the investment in science and technology in the later stage of transformation is increased to maximize the potential of new energy business;(2)Shanghai Electric Power has significantly reduced the emission of environmental pollutants by transforming existing thermal power units and increasing the proportion of clean energy installed capacity through environmental protection,and the input cost of environmental protection transformation has gradually decreased;(3)Shanghai Electric Power has implemented the green transformation strategy,introduced a green management system,and integrated the concept of green development into the production and operation of enterprises.At the same time,the company also pays attention to shareholder returns and employee treatment,employees enjoy the fruits of green transformation,dividends to shareholders are reduced but stock value increases.In addition,after the transformation of Shanghai Electric Power,it has assumed more responsibilities to the public.By analyzing the performance of Shanghai electric power green transformation,we hope to enrich the content of case studies on the green transformation of the power generation industry and provide reference for other thermal power enterprises in China that are undergoing green transformation. |
