| Mango is a typical respiratory climacteric fruit,and the postharvest loss caused by decay softening during mango storage and transportation is up to 30%~50%.Anthracnose is the most serious disease causing mango rot loss,so how to prevent and control postharvest anthracnose of mango,delay fruit ripening and softening,and then extend the shelf life has become a critical problem restricting the healthy development of mango industry.In this work,’Tainong No.1’mango was used as experimental material and green and environmentally friendly cinnamon essential oil complex chitosan emulsion was used as a treatment method to study its prevention effect and action mechanism on mangos,and the results were as follows:1.The combined treatment of 0.5%cinnamon essential oil and chitosan has a good effect on mango freshness,which can significantly reduce the rot rate of fruit,increase the content of soluble sugar and titratable acid(TA)in mango,and delay the rise of peel color a*,b*value and rate of weight loss,reduce the ethylene release rate and respiration intensity of fruit,and delay the ripening of mango fruit.2.The combined treatment could significantly inhibit the increase of malondialdehyde(MDA)content and lip oxidase(LOX)activity,.It can also increase the content of fruit antioxidant ascorbic acid(AsA),reduced glutathione(GSH)and flavonoids,and enhance the activity of fruit antioxidant enzymes superoxide dismutase(SOD),peroxidase(POD)and catalase(CAT),thereby improving the antioxidant activity of fruit and delaying the aging of mango fruit.3.In vitro,the bacteriostatic experiment showed that 0.01%and 0.02%cinnamon essential oil treatment has obvious inhibitory effect on mango anthracnose hyphae,and the higher concentration of essential oil,the greater destructive force of hyphae,0.03%cinnamon essential oil can completely inhibit the growth and spore production of mango anthracnose,thus the minimum bactericidal concentration(MBC)of mango anthracnose is 0.03%.4.The combined treatment of 0.5%cinnamon essential oil and 0.3%chitosan effectively reduced the disease index of mango anthracnose after harvest,significantly inhibited the expansion of the diameter of mango anthracnose spots,increased the content of lignin,total phenol(TP)and hydrogen peroxide(H2O2),and increased the activities of the disease-related enzymes,such as phenylalanine ammonia-lyase(PAL),peroxidase(POD),β-1,3 glucan enzyme(β-1,3-GA)and chitinase(CHI).The combined treatment has good control effect on mango anthracnose,and has good induced disease resistance effect on postharvest mango.The above research found that cinnamon essential oil composite chitosan lotion has a good fresh-keeping effect on postharvest mangoes,providing theoretical basis and application reference for the development of mango preservation preparations and the development of postharvest mango fresh-keeping industry in China. |
