Research On The Application Of Xilankap Pattern In Modern Home Textile Design

Xilankapu is a kind of folk brocade created by the ancestors of the Tujia family,which is very practical and decorative,commonly known as Tujin,and Shujin,Yunjin,Song Jin,and Zhuangjin are known as "China’s five famous brocades".In the Tujia language,"Xilan" means to cover and "Kapu" means to flower,which means "to lay flowers and cover the cover",which is the most important handicraft intangible cultural heritage of the Tujia family.The production and development of the pattern of Xilankapu reflects the unique aesthetic orientation and life wisdom of the Tujia family,and has an irreplaceable special position in the complex folk art.In recent years,under the influence of "national tide style",visual elements with ethnic characteristics have gradually been added to modern design.Today,with "culture" as the design fundamental,home textile products,as one of the modern design directions,will also conform to the needs of the times and excavate and innovate ethnic elements.As one of the intangible cultural heritage of the country,Xilankapu has a deep historical and cultural heritage,and how to integrate the Xilankapu pattern with strong ethnic culture with modern home textiles to make it a cultural label that people can easily accept is the issue that needs to be explored in this article.This paper mainly studies from the following aspects,first of all,it summarizes the background of the formation of Zealandkapu and its patterns,understands the ethnic culture that gives birth to Zealandkapu,analyzes the background of the emergence of Zealandkapu patterns,and provides a theoretical basis for later design;Secondly,the artistic characteristics of the Xilankapu pattern are summarized and analyzed,and the Xilankapu pattern has rich and diverse themes,simple and beautiful patterns and warm and vivid colors,which provide inspiration for subsequent design research.Then,from the extraction of Xilankapu pattern elements to the research on the application of design methods,the feasibility of applying Xilankapu pattern elements to home textile design was theoretically discussed.Finally,it is guided by theory and practice,takes modern home textiles as the carrier,adopts overall application,deformation,reengineering and other methods to design and innovate them,injects the artistic characteristics and cultural connotations of Tujia into the design of modern home textiles,and displays the final results.The author hopes that through his own research and practice,on the basis of the cultural interpretation of the Xilankapu pattern,with modern home textiles as the carrier,the method and design thinking of modern home textile design are integrated to create modern home textile products with spiritual and cultural connotations,which can also enhance the charm of Xilankapu art,expand the application and design scope of Zealandkapu patterns,and promote the inheritance of Tujia culture.
