Research On The Design Of Award-receiving Uniforms For The Delegation Of Powerful Sports Countries From The 26th To The 32nd Summer Olympic Games

In 776 BC,the ancient Greeks held the first Olympic Games,which has grown to be the world’s largest comprehensive games.Nowadays,the Olympic Games is not only a stage to show the competitive strength of top athletes from different countries,but also a stage to show the economic and cultural strength of each country.Now clothing has become an important carrier of spiritual culture,the Olympic Games held when countries will come up with the best design and technology to create a series of delegation clothing for athletes and staff.On the competition field,the podium is often one of the biggest focuses of the whole field,and the athletes’ medal uniforms are also an important part of the national Olympic clothing series.This article analyzes the number of medals in each Olympic Games,taking into account the sports performance,comprehensive national power and political factors,and selects the medal uniforms worn by four powerful countries,namely China,the United States,Britain and Russia,in the 26 th to 32 nd Summer Olympic Games as the research objects.The first part gives an overview of the definition of medal uniforms,which are the official dress code of the Olympic medal ceremony and an important carrier to show the personal style of the athletes and the country.Reviewing the origin and development of Olympic medal uniforms,we sort out that the medal uniforms are originated from four types of clothing:competitive clothing,formal wear,military uniforms and national team uniforms.It also analyzes the functional uses of the medal uniforms and makes four classifications of them,which have the roles of ensuring comfort and modifying body shape internally and conveying the identity of athletes and conveying the identity of the country externally.In the second part,we studied the 26 th to 32 nd Olympic Games of China,the United States,Britain and Russia,including the programs of multiple sets of medal uniforms of Britain and the United States in the same Games,totaling 32 sets of medal uniforms.The design characteristics of each country’s uniforms were summarized.The similarities and differences of the four countries’ designs are summarized through horizontal comparison.Based on the previous section,the third part summarizes the important elements of the design of medal uniforms,such as color,pattern,style,display of national culture,and the use of information symbols.The analysis of typical cases is used to explore the design techniques and characteristics used by the four countries.In the fourth part,the analysis of typical cases is carried out on its basis for further analysis.Finally,on the basis of summarizing the previous paper,the design practice of the prize uniform is carried out,and the theory of fashioning sportswear is combined with the attempt to expand the fashioning of the prize uniform.Through the analysis and research of this paper,it is hoped that it can provide some information reference for the scholars who will design and research on medal suits in the future,and provide theoretical support for the relevant personnel in the design improvement of Olympic medal suits.
