With the continuous improvement of the meridianization rate of tires in our country,the segmented mould is also developing rapidly in continuous innovation.The steamer type segmented mould is one of the moulds for forming radial tires.With its advantages of fast heat transfer rate and uniform heating,it is widely used in vulcanizing radial OTR tires and truck tires.In this paper,the steamer type segmented mould is taken as the research object,and the mechanical properties and heat transfer performance of the steamer type segmented mould are studied by the method of finite element analysis,the stress and deformation distribution of the mould are predicted,and the heat transfer law of the steamer type segmented mould is summarized.Provide reference for mould design and structure optimization.The main research contents are as follows:(1)The three-dimensional model of the steamer type segmented mould is established,and the mechanical properties of the mould are analyzed by the overall mechanical analysis method.Based on the analysis results,the deformation causes and stress distribution state of the main parts of the steamer type segmented mould are described in combination with the mould structure characteristics and mechanical theory.(2)Based on the mechanical analysis results of the upper ring,combined with the fatigue analysis theory,the fatigue life analysis of the upper ring with different thicknesses is carried out,and the fatigue analysis results are evaluated by combining the deformation of the upper ring,the theoretical life and the safety factor,and the minimum thicknesses of the upper ring meeting the requirements is determined.The structure of the upper ring is adjusted,and analyze the influence of the upper ring structure on its fatigue life.(3)Through the comparison and analysis of the heat transfer of the steamer type cone oriented segmented mould and the hot plate-type cone oriented segmented mould,to analyze the difference of the different heating methods and different guiding methods segmented moulds in mould warming time and cavity temperature distribution.Using the principle of heat transfer,combined with mould structure to analyze the internal reasons for the difference in heat transfer performance,and summarizing the influence of heating methods and mould structure on mould heat transfer performance.The mould structure was adjusted based on the heat transfer analysis results to improve the vulcanization performance of the mould.(4)By calculating the convective heat transfer coefficient of the mould surface and measuring the emissivity of the surface,the cavity temperature change law during the tire replacement process was studied,the influence of the emissivity on the results was analyzed,and the impact of the cavity temperature change on the subsequent vulcanization during the mould opening process was discussed.
