The Impact Of Enterprises’ Fulfillment Of Environmental Responsibility On Their Value

Environmental responsibility is an important part of social responsibility in modern society.With the rapid economic development around the world,the country has also increased its attention to environmental protection,believing that environmental protection is necessary and urgent,emphasizing that while economic development,certain measures must be taken to protect the environment,the development of the two should be coordinated with each other.As a necessary part of the relationship between the two,enterprises need to consume a lot of resources and produce a lot of pollution in the process of development.Therefore,enterprises should take the initiative to undertake corresponding responsibilities for the development of the environment.The requirements of the situation are also the demands of the enterprise.Different from the perspective of other research on environmental responsibility and heavily polluting enterprises,this paper mainly introduces Shougang as the case object to analyze the status quo and achievements of its environmental responsibility performance based on combing the relevant theories of environmental responsibility through the Case study method,and tries to analyze the impact of Shougang’s environmental responsibility performance on enterprise value and its mechanism.This study found that fulfilling corresponding environmental responsibilities helps promote green innovation in enterprises,enhance their social image and reputation,assist government environmental protection work,and improve customer satisfaction.Green innovation can both reduce costs and improve efficiency.A positive image can reduce related costs,reduce financing constraints,achieve government goals,reduce penalties,and be biased by policies.Improved customer satisfaction can bring more market opportunities to enterprises.Under the influence of various mechanisms,it will have a positive impact on the value of the enterprise.Finally,this article comprehensively analyzes and studies the performance of the enterprise in fulfilling society from the perspective of the overall development of the enterprise and the specific financial indicators of the enterprise.Based on the above analysis,the following conclusion can be drawn: fulfilling environmental responsibility can improve the environmental and financial performance of enterprises.Although fulfilling environmental responsibilities will increase the cost of fulfilling responsibilities for enterprises,overall,the overall value of the enterprise will actually increase.
