China is an advocate of the Belt and Road Initiative.Since its launch in 2013,more than 60 countries and regions along the routes have taken part in the initiative.India is one of the "One Belt" countries,in September 2014,China and India signed the Five-Year Development Plan for Economic and Trade cooperation.Subsequently,China’s investment in India’s industrial and infrastructure construction has increased year by year,and India has become an important target country for Chinese enterprises to "go global" because of its huge market potential.Zhejiang J Company is one of the private enterprises engaged in the environmental protection energy industry in China,and also focus on huge market potential of India,so it has start investment in India very earily.However,due to insufficient understanding of the status quo,laws and regulations,social culture and other aspects of India’s environmental protection industry,inadequate preparation and other reasons,many investment projects of J company have exposed a lot of risk management problems.Therefore,it has strong practical significance to study the risk management of investment in India’s environmental energy projects of J Company.Aiming at the problems of investment risk faced by J Company in India,this thesis firstly introduces the current situation of investment risk management of J Company in India from the aspects of risk management system specification and organizational structure management process.Then,the analytic hierarchy process is used to evaluate and calculate the risks encountered in 9 aspects such as politics,economy,management,capital and law.The calculation results show that the investment of the 6 subsidiaries of J Company is at a high risk on the whole.If the research is not done in time and the avoidance measures are not taken,the investment prospect is grim.Subsequently,the detailed discussion on the investment process of J Company’s investment projects in India exposes many problems of risk control,such as the imperfect risk management system for overseas investment;Unstable project management team in India;Lack of professional risk control personnel,do not understand the risk transfer;Lack of risk management information system;Lack of plans to deal with risks,etc.Finally,the thesis gives the corresponding strategies to avoid the various risks of J Company’s investment in India’s environmental energy projects,such as Improve the risk management system;Stabilize the management team and increase the supervision of receiving and transferring business;Equity transfer,sell the company,increase financing channels;Establish and utilize information system to give early warning in time;Strengthen learning and training to prepare risk plans;Management methods according to local conditions,strictly abide by laws and regulations.In conclusion,this research can provide avoidance strategies and suggestions for J Company’s investment risks of India’s environmental energy projects,and can also provide experience for other Chinese enterprises to identify and deal with risks in India’s investment projects.
