The mining of limestone mines forms a large number of exposed rock slopes, leading to the deterioration of the ecological environment and the formation of ecologically fragile areas damaged by mining. In today’s emphasis on ecological sustainable development, ecological restoration of ecologically fragile areas damaged by limestone mining has become an inevitable choice. In order to achieve a more coordinated natural succession of the ecological environment,it is particularly crucial to selection and arrangement of reforesting native plants in a reasonable manner. This study focuses on rock slopes in ecologically fragile areas damaged by mining in Guilin limestone mines.Based on inquire into rock slope elements and plant distribution characteristics,a study was conducted on plant distribution characteristics under different site factors.Using Principal Component Analysis and Cluster Analysis to divide site types of rock slope;Investigate the plant community of limestone mine, obtain the characteristic parameters such as plant dominance and important value, and carry out primary selection of local plants in the ecologically fragile area of limestone mine mining damage. On this basis, the TOPSIS method modified by the analytic hierarchy process was further used to establish a comprehensive evaluation system for the adaptability of local plants in the ecological vulnerable area of limestone mine mining damage.Combined with Levins and Shannon ecological niche width index analysis, the dominant species of local plants in the ecological vulnerable area of limestone mine mining damage were screened out, forming a secondary screening system for local plants in the ecological vulnerable area of limestone mine mining damage;Based on the screening results of dominant species of reforesting native plants, combined with the analysis of ecological niche characteristics such as ecological niche similarity index and ecological niche overlap rate of dominant species, the overall and interspecific connectivity of dominant species of reforestation plants were studied by means of variance ratio method(VR),x~2 test,Pearson correlation test,Spearman rank correlation test and association coefficient AC,etc,Conduct research on the overall and interspecific connectivity of the dominant species of local vegetation in the restoration of green areas, and select the dominant species of local vegetation with positive interspecific relationships to develop a plan for the allocation of dominant species of local vegetation in the ecological fragile area of mining damage in Guilin limestone mines. The results obtained are as follows:(1)A total of 150 rock slopes were surveyed for 11 abandoned mines in Linggui,Lingchuan,Yongfu, and Qixing districts of Guilin city. The principal component analysis method was used to select slope and aspect as the dominant site factors, and the system clustering method was used to classify the rock slopes in the ecologically fragile area of Guilin limestone mines into six site types.(2)A survey of local plant community was carried out,and 141 plant species belonging to56 families and 113 genera were found.66 primary reforesting native plants were obtained by ranking the importance values of plants, and 7 herbaceous plants,7 shrubs,2 trees and 3 lianas were selected as the dominant species of reforesting native plants for 6 site types by using the TOPSIS method modified by the analytic hierarchy process and combining with the ecological niche width of primary reforesting native plants.(3)By calculating ecological niche similarity index and ecological niche overlap rate, analyze the ecological niche characteristics of dominant species of reforestation plants, and according to the analysis of overall connectivity and interspecific connectivity of dominant species of reforestation native plants, finally select dominant species of reforestation plants with high ecological similarity and overlap rate, and positive interspecific relationship to obtain six plant arrangement modes. There are 3 pioneer species+2 constructive species,4 pioneer species+5 constructive species,4 pioneer species+4 constructive species,3 pioneer species+2constructive species+1 concomitant species,5 pioneer species+4 constructive species+2concomitant species,5 pioneer species+3 constructive species+2 concomitant species.
