| Mass sports occupy a pivotal position in our country’s sport development plan,among which the staff sports in large state-owned enterprise are an important part.Due to the special nature of their employee structure,coal enterprises need to pay special attention to the development of staff sports.Pingdingshan Coal Industry Group(Pingdingshan Coal Group)is the largest and long-established state-owned coal company in Henan Province and have gone through a glory period in the development of staff sports.However,since 2008,Pingdingshan Coal Group has focused on enterprise transformation and development with its staff sports development being left behind.For coal enterprises,the physical fitness of staffs is directly related to the long-term,stable development of the enterprise.Therefore,it is of great significance to pay attention to the current situation of staff sports in order to improve the current development dilemmas.Currently it is still lack of research of the staff sports development in domestic large coal enterprises.The study uses various research methods such as comparative analysis,statistical evaluation,expert interviews and on-the-spot investigations to analyze the basic situation of front-line workers in the No.4 Mine and Bishan Mine of Pingdingshan Coal Group,the situation of front-line workers participating in physical exercise,the current development of sports activities.Specific discussions on the health status of staffs,age structure,sports experience,sport type selection,the funding for sports activities for staffs in the two mines,sports venues and facilities,and the frequency of sports activities arrangement has been conducted in this study.Through the investigation and analysis of the current situation of staff sports in the No.4Mine and the Bishan Mine,the summaries of the dilemmas in developing staff sports are as follows: 1.It is difficult to carry out sports activities for enterprise staffs,meeting the needs of most staffs’ exercise motivation,sports experience,and sport type preference at the same time;2.The time selection of coal enterprises to carry out sports activities is restricted by work scheduling;3.Sports facilities and equipment lack standardized maintenance and management,which constrains the sports activities that can be carried out;4.Enterprises have limited source of funds for sports development with the budget being greatly affected by external factors,and it needs more rationally using;5.The management system of staff sports is still not sound enough,and there is a blank in the relative positions and sports professionals within the company.Aiming at the dilemmas in developing staff sports activities in enterprises,this study proposes the corresponding countermeasures as follows: 1.The enterprise should establish a sound system of staff sports,and the enthusiasm and participation of staffs in sports activities should be guaranteed;2.The company is supposed to promote the maintenance and construction of sports venues and equipment to enable carrying out sports activities for staffs with various contents and forms according to their personal conditions such as the sports experience;3.The fund distributed in sports should be increased for example by expanding source of funds,and a better use funds should be made;4.The company should set up special positions and introduces sports professionals to take the responsibilities for the implementation of sports activities,and assists in optimizing the management structure;5.Conduct multi-platform publicity to stabilize and expand enterprise staffs sports atmosphere and influence;6.The company should actively guide staffs to care more about their own health,cultivating and improving staffs’ awareness and interest in physical exercise at the same time. |
