Today, the rapid development of social economy,living standards have been significantly improved. With the full implementation of the two-child policy, parents focus on children’s development of preschool intelligence, educational toys become more and more people to buy toys of choice. In this paper, from the perspective of innovative design,for the 3-7 year-old preschool children’s physical and mental development needs and characteristics of a comprehensive summary of the innovative design of educational toys theory, and applied to the design of practical activities.First of all, the development of children’s educational toys at home and abroad and the trend of the trend, were roughly analyzed and described. Through the conceptual elaboration, classification research and function analysis of children’s educational toys, we grasp the fundamental design theory of educational toys and seek the key points of innovation.Secondly, the innovative design of children’s educational toys is analyzed and studied.Design at the beginning, should establish a new design concept, from a new perspective to examine the toy design, attention to children’s emotional needs, experience needs,individual needs and creative needs. Under the guidance of innovative ideas, correctly grasp the various elements of educational toys design, the use of Lenovo design strategy and experience interactive design strategy, to complete the pre-school children’s educational toys innovative design research topics.Finally, through the study of children’s psychology at various stages, I found that 3-7 years old is the "critical period" for children’s various intellectual development. At this stage, using puzzle toys to effectively train and develop, will achieve a multiplier effect. At the same time, the market similar educational toys, using comparative analysis methods to determine the subject matter of the scope of the work of the students,that is,intellectual fight inserted toys. And the use of divergent thinking, aggregation thinking way, the initiation of a very innovative design concept,the space exploration of the theme of spacecraft type puzzle toy design. The author makes a detailed study on the conceptual selection, target location and integration of the innovative design of educational toys by using the comparative method,the analysis method and the synthesis method,and so on,which can integrate the research and analysis, the data summary and the basic theory. Thus contributing to the design of the entire process can be successfully completed.Hope this article on the innovative design of educational toys and practical research results, to a certain extent, to expand the future development of innovative toys ideas.
