In recent years,large-scale transmission lines have been increasingly vulnerable to undesirably icing.According to incomplete statistics, the transmission lines have suffered ice disaster up to thousands of times. However, the current mainstream deicing methods are inefficient and labor-intensive,causing secondary damage to the grid lines. Therefore, there is a pressing need to develop efficient,cost-effective,and environmentally friendly anti-icing methods.Bionic surfaces have emerged as a promising solution for anti-icing,with superhydrophobic and liquid lubricated surfaces demonstrating great potential in improving material surface anti-icing ability. However, these functional surfaces are limited by factors such as poor stability and anchoring phenomenon for superhydrophobic surfaces and loss of lubrication fluid on liquid lubricated surfaces. To address these issues, this thesis designs and prepares three functional surfaces using ethylene propylene diene rubber(EPDM)as the raw material.A simple preparation process is employed to create the anti-ice coating, and its wettability,anti-ice/deicing performance, stability, and durability are studied. The main contents and results are as follows:In order to explore the preparation of liquid lubricating coating with autocrine function and improve the anti-ice performance, using EPDM as the base material, the surface roughness was achieved by incorporating FAS-17 modified nano silica particles.A simple spraying process was used to prepare a highly durable superhydrophobic coating. The coupling agentγ-aminopropyl triethoxysilane(KH-550)was added to enhance the coupling effect between the nano silica and EPDM,thereby improving the bonding strength of the coating to the aluminum sheet and providing a stable superhydrophobic surface. After more than 160 wear cycles on 800 mesh sandpaper, the coating still maintained its superhydrophobic properties, with a water contact angle of 152.25°.Furthermore,the icing time of water on the coating’s surface increased from24 s to 605 s,and the minimum ice adhesion strength was 34.3k Pa,which is 10 times lower than that on the surface of the aluminum sheet. To improve the anti-icing/deicing durability of the anti-icing coating, the preparation and properties of liquid lubricating coatings with autocrine function are discussed in this study.EPDM with high oil filling capacity served as the base material, while dimethyl silicone oil with excellent lubrication performance was used as the lubricant.Hydrophobic silica aerogel with a large surface area was also added as a filler to create an oil storage layer within the coating, enabling self-secretion and self-healing of the oil film.Consequently,a durable anti-ice coating with self-compensating performance was developed.Tests revealed that water took 128 seconds to freeze completely on the coated surface, which is 13 times longer than on an aluminum surface.Additionally, theτice was low at 11.34 k Pa,only 1/30 of the aluminum surface. The EPDM-C-70 coating exhibited good self-replenishment performance, withτiceremaining low throughout 14 cycles.Furthermore, the addition of silica in the vapor phase effectively increased the coating’s deicing durability. The coating also demonstrated excellent self-cleaning properties and anti-fouling ability against various substances such as juice, soy sauce, and methyl blue.In order to improve the anti-icing/deicing durability of the anti-icing coating, this paper prepared a hydrophobic lubricating coating with durable deicing function. On the basis of EPDM coating filled with vapor silica,a layer of self-made superhydrophobic coating was sprayed on its surface, and dimethyl silicone oil was injected to make its surface have a stable and unlosable silicone oil layer. In order to prepare a good deicing durability lubricating coating. The adhesion strength between the coating and ice surface is low, withτice at only 14.112 k Pa,and the time for deionized water to completely freeze on the coating surface is 203 seconds. Moreover, the coating exhibits excellent durability during deicing, maintaining an ice adhesion strength of less than 20k Pa for 20 ice-deicing cycles, and exhibiting a low weight loss rate of 0.36%at the beginning of the ice-deicing cycle. The coating also has the ability to recover the oil film, and theτice on its surface is only 21.868 k Pa after 10 cycles. The double-layer EPDM-EA-A4 coating has a larger oil storage capacity and excellent anti-icing durability, and its mechanical and chemical stability make it suitable for complex working conditions. Thus,it provides a good choice for long-term applications of anti-icing coatings. This thesis has 66 drawings,14 tables and 124 references.
