Dough-Figurine Display in Lancheng Town,Lan County,Lvliang City,Shanxi Province and Yaowang Temple Fair in Ashou Village,Dali country,Weinan city,Shaanxi Province are both folk activities that worship the gods with Dough-Figurine,and "noodles for food, flowers to worship the gods" is the core content of the entire display.Taking the two places Dough-Figurine Display as the case object, this paper focuses on how folklore forms the endogenous mechanism of "artistry and holiness" through the symbolic expression of multiple narratives such as space, legends and rituals,so as to realize the benign inheritance of folk art. This paper is divided into four chapters. The first chapter analyzes the influence of farming environment, diet culture,multi-ethnic integration and folk beliefs on the formation and origin of Dough-Figurine Display in Shanxi Province and Shaanxi Province from the perspective of social history, and explores the cultural genes and cultural codes hidden in Dough-Figurine.The second chapter analyzes the influence of multiple spatial narration on the continuous internalization of folk customs by investigating the village history of Ashou Village in Dali and the inner village in Lancheng. The first is the implicit spiritual space, the environment, layout and temples of the village, which has formed a traditional cultural identity for a long time, which contains Dough-Figurine Display’s unique spiritual aesthetic characteristics. The second is the ritual identity space created by village immigrants.Through temple building, temple building and other activities, people strengthen the process of "localization" of the village and construct the identity of village community organizations and family organizations in the ceremonial activities. The third is the exhibition space from the village to the temple, which makes the original space beyond daily life through the repeated practice of folk activities. The fourth is the integration of temple fair economy and folk-art,relying on the "Periodic Market" space formed by the festival. In a certain sense, the exuberant incense and popularity itself represent the "sanctity" of a certain ceremony. The third chapter introduces the related legends about Dough-Figurine Display.Spatial narrative is the concrete presentation of folk life, and legendary narrative is the recessive expression of folk beliefs.By combing the local memory elements handed down from generation to generation, this paper sums up four types of legends: the origin of place names, mortals becoming gods, diet therapy and folk art legends. These legends provide the "rationality" for the explanation of the folk belief, enhance the "authenticity" and "spirituality" of the belief power of the King of Medicine and Guanyin, and enrich the folk meaning and artistic expression of the noodle offering society. The fourth chapter focuses on the active and artistic "performance" of Dough-Figurine Display, such as offering, sacrifice and dance music, and analyzes how these ceremonial activities integrate the sense of "art and sanctity" into the details of folk life,so as to achieve the effect of performance, appreciation and sharing, and then explain the ritual narrative characteristics contained in the meeting. This systematic, situational and ritualized etiquette tradition reflects the three-dimensional and comprehensive folk cultural characteristics, which not only maintains the continuity and self-consistency of the folk life tradition, but also reflects the cultural identity and sense of belonging of the village people.
