There are countless connections between nature and the development of human society.The concept of nature is a fundamental view on the relationship between subject and object and material exchange between humans and nature.Against the historical background of socialism with Chinese characteristics entering a new era and the unprecedented changes in the world in a century,the construction of ecological civilization with Chinese characteristics has ushered in new development opportunities,while also facing new threats and challenges.Studying Marx’s concept of nature and its contemporary values is of great significance for promoting the construction of ecological civilization and correctly handling the relationship between humans and nature.This article focuses on the theoretical background and origin,theoretical evolution process,theoretical content and core,and theoretical value of Marxist view of nature.It is divided into four parts:The introduction analyzes the topic selection basis and research significance of the paper,summarizes the research status of domestic and foreign scholars on Marx’s view of nature.Clarifies the research objectives,content,methods,and possible innovation and shortcomings of the article furtherly.The first part discusses the background of the formation of Marx’s concept of nature from three perspectives: social productivity,class contradictions,and the development of natural sciences.The first part also discusses the ideological source of Marx’s concept of nature from the analysis of the three stages of the concept of nature,namely,Ancient naive materialism,Modern metaphysics,and German ancient philosophy.The second part,based on the sorting out of Marx’s classic works,divides the theoretical evolution of Marx’s concept of nature into four periods:embryonic,preliminary construction,formation,and development,which is a further deepening of the research on the evolution of Marx’s concept of nature.The third part sorts out the main contents of Marx’s view of nature,including the inorganic body of human beings and the concept of human beings and nature,as well as the relationship between humans and nature.It analyzes the core concepts of Marx’s view of nature,including criticism of capital logic,materialistic understanding of the view of nature,and revelation of the root causes of alienation between humans and nature.It clarifies that Marx’s view of nature has materialism,practicality,and dialectics.The fourth part analyzes the contemporary value of Marx’s view of nature,discusses the theoretical value of Marx’s view of nature from the three perspectives of ontology,epistemology and methodology,and discusses its practical value for solving ecological environmental problems,guiding the construction of ecological civilization,and promoting the construction of a community of human and natural life from the practical point of view.The fourth part analyzes the contemporary value of Marx’s view of nature,discusses the theoretical value of Marx’s view of nature from the three perspectives of ontology,epistemology and methodology,and discusses its practical value for solving ecological environmental problems,guiding the construction of ecological civilization,and promoting the construction of a community of human and natural life from the practical point of view.A thorough study of Marx’s concept of nature will help to solve the problem of human existence,reveal the root causes of the capitalist economic crisis and ease the contradictory relationship between man and nature.It has important theoretical value and practical significance for comprehensively implementing the people centered green development concept,promoting the Chinese path to modernization construction of harmonious coexistence between man and nature,and thus creating a new form of human civilization.
