As the most mainstream slab width adjusting equipment at present,the fixed width press has the advantages of high working efficiency and good width adjusting quality,and is widely used in various hot rolling production lines.However,at present,most of the fixed-width presses in China rely on the import of complete sets of equipment,and some domestic research and design institutes are converting the equipment domestically,which has achieved certain research results.However,there are also some problems such as short service life and low reliability of the equipment,which are in urgent need of corresponding research to provide the basis for the reliability and stability of the domestic equipment.In this dissertation,taking a domestic start-stop fixed-width press designed by a design institute as an example,the movement,stress and deformation of the side pressure mechanism of the fixed-width press are theoretically analyzed by using motion simulation and finite element method.On this basis,the key components of the mechanism are designed accordingly,and the specific research contents are as follows:(1)The problems existing in domestic fixed-width presses at present are sorted out,and the main research contents of this dissertation are put forward to point out the direction for the follow-up research.(2)Analyze and calculate the motion characteristics of the lateral pressure mechanism of the fixed-width press,and get the functional relations of the displacement,velocity and acceleration of the hammer head;The kinematics simulation model is established,and the kinematics simulation calculation of the lateral pressure mechanism is carried out by ADAMS simulation software,which verifies the reliability of the lateral pressure mechanism movement,and lays a foundation for the subsequent lateral pressure width adjustment simulation,stress analysis,deformation analysis and calculation check.(3)The lateral pressure width adjustment model is established,and the finite element simulation of several groups of lateral pressure width adjustment models is carried out by using the control variable method and LS-DYNA simulation software,and the stress distribution of slab under different conditions is obtained.Through the analysis of simulation results,the relationship between lateral pressure impact force and slab lateral pressure,slab initial width and slab yield strength is established.The influencing factors of the maximum size of slab "dog bone" were found out.In the process of simulation,it is found that when the high-strength steel is pressed laterally,there is an overload phenomenon,which provides a theoretical basis for guiding the rational planning of the production line and the subsequent stress and deformation analysis.(4)The thermal-structural coupling analysis of the key components of the side pressing mechanism of the fixed width press shows that the stress and deformation of the key components at high temperature are within the allowable range.That is,the lateral pressure mechanism can realize stable operation under actual working conditions.(5)Design and check the driving parts,gear drive,balance device,sliding bearing,screw drive of the side pressure mechanism of the fixed width press.
