Since the 20 th century, the ecological environment has been deteriorating.Ecological Marxism has been moved by the trend. They form two camps of "anthropocentrism" and "ecocentrism" on how to view the relationship between man and nature. Both sides hold the positions of anthropocentrism and ecocentrism respectively. They start fierce confrontations on how to reflect on ecological problems, how to interpret the concept of "controlling nature",how to answer the problems of the relationship between historical materialism and ecology, and how to conceive a green society in the future.Among them,as an important member of the "Anthropocentrism" camp,Grundmann reverts to anthropocentrism based on his the criticism of ecocentrism, and emphasizes that what he reverts to is not the traditional anthropocentrism based on the modern subjective philosophy tradition and the dual thinking styles mode of subject and object, but Marx’s practice of anthropocentrism breaking the dual thinking styles of subject and object, abandoning the opposition between traditional anthropocentrism and ecocentrism, based on Marx’s practice of subjective philosophy tradition, taking practicality and subjectivity as the theoretical core,so as to give consideration to the dual scale of man and nature, achieve the dialectical unity of humanitarianism and naturalism. In view of the above,he constructs the ecological view of anthropocentrism to reply to the above questions:Firstly,he reflects on the anthropocentrism of ecological problems: he thinks that the definition of ecological problems must adhere to the human scale, and the accurate positioning can be found only by examining the human coordinates. So the evaluation of ecological problems should be based on Anthropocentrism and under a certain social and historical background. Now that the cause of ecological problems is the limitation of human practical ability, the classification of ecological problems is a phenomenon of environmental damage based on human intervention.Secondly,he interprets the concept of "controlling nature" from the standpoint of Anthropocentrism: in order to survive, human beings must rely on practice to control nature.Human beings must follow the laws of nature and consciously control nature based on rationality. The cause of it is that all kinds of human needs and overall interests based on their own subjective scale can only be satisfied and realized by relying on the control of nature. On this basis, human beings must rely on the control of nature to externalize the essential power, and obtain their own liberation in the humanization of nature.Thirdly,he interprets the ecological meaning of historical materialism from the standpoint of Anthropocentrism: he believes that the concept of "development of productive forces" has the dual connotations of economy and ecology, and defines the latter as the historical materialism of philosophy,so as to construct the historical materialism of humanitarian mode and realize the synchronous promotion of human control over nature and human well-being.Finally,he makes a anthropocentric conception of the future green society: he thinks that we ought to actively establish a green Communist society by implementing the mode of simultaneous development of planning and market in economy and retaining the means of state system in politics in order to move towards the double liberation of man and nature.Grundman’s anthropocentric ecological view has rich theoretical connotation. It broadens the theoretical horizon of cognitive ecological problems and provides people with a scientific perspective of in-depth understanding of ecological problems. It strengthens the explanatory power of Marxist theory in the ecological field and confirms its contemporary vitality and distinct ecological position. However,Grundman’s anthropocentric ecological view also has certain theoretical limitations on his subjective interpretation of Marx’s historical materialism and idealization of the evaluation of human ability to control nature and the formulation of the green society of future ambiguously. However,it is undeniable that his theory has certain enlightenment significance to the construction of ecological civilization in promoting the importance of human subjectivity and vigorously developing ecological productivity.
