| With the continuous growth of economic aggregate,the problem of urban haze pollution in China has become increasingly prominent.How to find a balance between economic development and environmental protection is an urgent problem for government managers.Especially in today ’s emphasis on high-quality development,green development and ecological civilization construction,it is imperative to solve the problem of urban haze.At present,the rapid development of digital economy has profoundly affected government management,enterprise production and personal life,and has become an important force to promote economic development.Whether the development of digital economy can reduce urban haze pollution is worthy of our in-depth study.However,there are relatively few studies on the relationship between digital economy and urban haze,and the mechanism analysis is still under exploration.In this context,it is of great significance to deeply and systematically explore the effect,mechanism and path of digital economy affecting urban haze.On the basis of systematically combing the existing relevant literature,this thesis theoretically clarifies the mechanism and path of the impact of digital economy development on urban haze pollution emissions.Based on the panel data of 217 cities from 2011 to 2020,this thesis constructs a benchmark regression model,an intermediary effect model,a spatial Durbin model,etc.,to empirically test whether the development of digital economy can significantly reduce urban haze pollution emissions,and verify the path through which the digital economy affects urban haze pollution,as well as the heterogeneity of digital economy affecting urban haze pollution in the East and West,central heating and non-central heating areas,population concentration and non-central areas.The empirical results show that the development of digital economy is conducive to urban haze emission reduction.The results are still valid after replacing core explanatory variables,eliminating sample values,increasing control variables,and excluding endogeneity.The haze reduction effect of the digital economy is the strongest in the east,followed by the west,and The middle is the weakest and not significant.The emission reduction effect in the central heating area is significantly better than that in the non-central heating area.In the east of the ’Heihe-Tengchong line ’,the digital economy in the densely populated area promotes the urban haze reduction effect better;the digital economy can promote urban haze governance by promoting the upgrading of industrial structure and enhancing scientific and technological innovation capabilities;the digital economy has a spatial spillover effect,which can not only reduce the haze in local cities,but also help to control the haze pollution in neighboring cities and achieve the goal of regional haze pollution reduction.According to the above research results,based on the positive role of digital economy in urban haze emission reduction,the bridge role of digital economy in promoting industrial structure upgrading and technological innovation ability to reduce urban haze pollution,the spatial spillover effect of digital economy,and the regional imbalance of digital economy in solving urban haze pollution control,the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions are put forward. |
