Due to the outbreak of the new crown epidemic at the end of the 19 th,the construction of my country’s medical system has encountered huge challenges.At the same time,we have also paid more and more attention to daily protection and personal respiratory health issues.The production and manufacturing of masks has continued to be hot in a short period of time.In this context,based on the long-term possible continuous protection status and the language barrier in outbound communication,a new smart mask translator is proposed that combines translation functions and daily protection functions.In order to ensure that the shape design of this new product meets the psychological expectations of the target consumer group,the early stage of the research focused on the design principles of Kansei Engineering,supplemented by Analytic Hierarchy Process and adjective intention analysis,and used the partial least squares method to construct consumers’ perceptions of the new smart mask translator.The correlation model between modeling intention and design influencing factors provides appearance modeling guidance for later scheme design.At the same time,in order to solve the fundamental problem of poor facial fit of most of the existing masks on the market,this study innovatively proposes a method that combines 3D scanning measurement of the head and face with manual measurement.Eight measurement points were drawn up:width between two mandibular angles,face width,nose width,shape face length,nose depth,submandibular arc length between tragus points,mouth width,and distance between zygomatic points.Through data collection and processing with a small sample size,three representative surface intermediates are divided by clustering,which are imported into Gemagic Studio software for point cloud reconstruction,and the model design of the two schemes is completed in cooperation with Rhino software and processing work.Both schemes have a replaceable filter element structure and good translation function.In order to select the best scheme design,the five evaluation dimensions of the mask are evaluated by combining subjective evaluation and gray near-optimal method,and finally the optimal scheme is determined.This study combines theory with practice,practically implements the design plan,and provides a reference for the design methodology of such conceptualized new products.
