Yarn is a very important textile,and different kinds of yarn have different properties.Core-spun yarn is favored by many researchers and consumers because of its unique coresheath structure.Staple fiber/staple fiber core-spun yarn based on the traditional ring spinning roving frame has attracted attention in recent years due to its simple and convenient equipment transformation and strong adaptability of raw materials.The sheath and core layer of this yarn are both made of staple fibers.The core fiber and sheath fiber can be either chemical fiber or natural fiber.As we all know,the different components and structure will have a great impact on the performance of yarn,but at present,the research on this kind of short fiber/short fiber core-spun yarn has just started,and the structure and performance of this kind of new short fiber/short fiber core-spun yarn has not been systematically studied in detail.This paper mainly focuses on the yarn forming process,structure and performance of this new short fiber/short fiber core-spun yarn.The main research contents and conclusions are as follows:(1)The ring-spinning roving frame was transformed,and the short fiber/short fiber corespun yarn was spun by the process of core roving covered with a sheath sliver.The fiber transfer mechanism was studied,and the relationship between the minimum amount of coresheath yarn and the radius of the fiber and yarn fineness was calculated.(2)Study on the influence of the spinning process on the structure and properties of staple fiber/staple fiber core-spun yarns: three kinds of polyester-cotton staple fiber/staple fiber core-spun yarns and polyester-viscose staple fiber/staple fiber core-spun yarns with different sheath-core ratio and polyester-cotton staple fiber/staple fiber core-spun yarns with three kinds of twist were spun respectively.It was found that the three kinds of staple fiber/staple fiber core-spun yarns with different sheath-core ratios had better covering structure,and the change of sheath-core ratio had different degrees of influence on the number of hairiness,unevenness,breaking strength and elongation at break of short fiber/short fiber core yarns.Within a certain range,the twist had no significant effect on the number of hairiness of staple fiber/staple fiber core-spun yarns,but the twist had a certain effect on the unevenness,breaking strength and elongation at break of staple fiber/staple fiber core-spun yarns.(3)Study on the properties of yarns with the same fiber composition and different structures: polyester-viscose staple fiber/staple fiber core-spun yarn,polyester-viscose filament /staple fiber core-spun yarn and polyester-viscose blended yarn were spun with the same fiber composition.It was found that there was some "filament exposure" phenomenon in the polyester-viscose filament /staple core-spun yarn.Polyester-viscose staple fiber/staple fiber core-spun yarn had medium hairiness number,maximum CV value,minimum breaking strength and elongation at break,and medium maximum bending strength.(4)Study on creep and stress relaxation properties of staple fiber/staple fiber core-spun yarn: The creep and stress relaxation properties of staple fiber/staple fiber core-spun were simulated by means of mechanical model and Origin software.It was found that the creep behavior and stress relaxation behavior of polyester-viscose staple/staple core-spun yarn could be well described by the three-element model which consisted of a Hooke spring and a Voigt model in series and the four-element model which consisted of two Maxwell models in parallel respectively. |
