| Nowadays,the world has entered an aging stage,and the development trend of my country’s population aging is also expanding.The development of emerging technologies provides a variety of possibilities for the intelligent transformation of traditional products.Smart home products are gradually entering the daily life of the elderly,and dining tables,which play an important role in life scenarios,are gradually showing a trend of intelligent development.Helping the elderly better solve their demands in the dining scene is a common problem faced by manufacturers and design developers.At present,the elderly generally have different degrees of difficulties and obstacles when using smart home products.This situation is not only related to the learning ability and acceptance ability of the elderly,but also reflects that the current smart home products are not designed and developed properly.Elderly users pay enough attention to how to use design to help the elderly eliminate the technical gap,so that the elderly can better accept and adapt to technology is a very urgent issue.In the related research on technology acceptance of the elderly,the technology acceptance model is widely used,but the previous research mostly focused on the social and demographic factors that affect the elderly’s acceptance of technology,and there are few studies from the design perspective.Human beings are emotional animals,and emotional perception can directly reflect users’ attitudes toward products.As a new type of smart home product,smart dining tables are a powerful way to improve their user experience by emotionally designing them.Smart dining tables can help the elderly to create a better dining experience.The experience is in line with the social wave of Active Ageing and Healthy Ageing.Based on the above background,this paper sorts out the research status of the elderly’s technology acceptance,smart home,smart dining table,and emotional design,organizes the relevant theories of technology acceptance model,analyzes the general characteristics of the physiology,psychology,and behavior of the elderly,and explores the smart dining table.The relationship between emotional design elements and the technology acceptance of the elderly,and based on the technology acceptance model,a model(ED-STAM)that emotional design affects the elderly’s acceptance of smart dining table technology was constructed,and a related questionnaire was developed to analyze the external factors of the model.The relationship between variables and internal variables is hypothesized,and empirical research is carried out using structural equation model to analyze how different levels of emotional design affect the perceived ease of use,perceived usefulness,and perceived pleasure of elderly users.,and then based on the ED-STAM model,a series of principles and methods for the emotional design of smart dining tables for elderly users are proposed.JACK software evaluates the comfort of the product,and uses the SUS scale to test the usability of the interface prototype in the design scheme.The research results of this paper are as follows:(1)The application of technology acceptance model theory in related researches on technology acceptance of the elderly was sorted out,and the emotional design elements of smart home and the characteristics of elderly users were analyzed.The model of dining table technology acceptance,and empirical research on the model assumptions through statistical methods,which verifies the importance of emotional design elements for the elderly to accept smart dining tables.(2)Output the emotional design principles of smart dining table aiming at improving the experience of elderly users and the design method aiming at improving the emotional perception of elderly users.(3)In-depth research was carried out on the needs of elderly users in the dining scene,and based on the obtained user needs,the design method under the guidance of the ED-STAM model was used to summarize the specific elements of emotional design required for smart dining tables.(4)Completed the emotional design practice of smart dining table centered on elderly users,and created a scene-based solution composed of smart dining table,set meal chairs and children’s App. |
