Due to the rapid development of China and the accelerating pace of urbanization, the real estate market is also increasingly white-hot,and new building materials are emerging, forming a huge amount of urban housing and structure waste, also known as "construction waste".The total amount of waste in China has exceeded 3 billion tons by2021,accounting for more than 40% of the total amount of urban waste and still shows an obvious surge trend from the perspective of development trend. In fact,as a kind of waste classification, construction waste can be recycled by corresponding means, converted into renewable resources and used in various ways,so as to realize the recycling of construction waste. Therefore, the country has gradually begun to strengthen the exploration of the recycling of construction waste which is expected to become the mainstream trend of the current construction industry. The 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China clearly put forward the major strategic deployment of "strengthening the disposal of solid waste and garbage, promoting the all-round conservation and recycling of resources",making the efficient treatment and conversion of construction waste an important part of the construction of a beautiful China, which is a necessary condition for the implementation of the national sustainable development policy, and also a basic way to solve China’s huge construction waste problem. At present, the annual output and stock of urban construction waste in China are large, which not only wastes arable land, pollutes the air,and seriously damages the living environment of urban residents, but also has a large amount of waste of resources, affects human health and other problems, which seriously inhibits the growth of the national economy, and also seriously interferes with the harmonious development of China’s economic and social development and environmental protection. In fact, construction waste is also a natural resource, which can be reused by necessary means to realize various uses of construction waste. This paper starts with an analysis of the current situation of construction waste treatment in C City and analyzes the four aspects of waste output, treatment mode, legal environment and renewable enterprises. The results show that there are some problems in the process of construction waste recycling treatment in IV C City, namely, the government lacks mandatory punishment provisions, supporting policies, and insufficient cooperation between departments; The treatment technology of recycling enterprises is relatively backward, and the recycling products are lack of practicality; The public lacks awareness of this, and the participation of the public and the media is insufficient.Through in-depth analysis of these problems,we can find the causes of the problems from the government, construction waste recycling enterprises and the social level, that is,imperfect policies and regulations, lack of overall coordination departments, lack of unified quality standards for recycled products, insufficient scientific research investment, low profits of recycled products, low environmental awareness of citizens, lack of public participation channels and less involvement of social groups. After careful study and learning from the successful experience at home and abroad,in view of the many challenges faced by the recycling of construction waste in C City, this paper puts forward suggestions such as improving relevant policies andregulations, strengthening the comprehensive management of construction waste, increasing support for construction waste recycling enterprises, and strengthening the publicity and education of citizens and the positive role of industry associations, with a view to promoting the healthy and high-quality development of the recycling of construction waste in C City.
