With the development of economic globalization and economic integration,China’s agricultural sector has gradually joined the global value division system, and foreign direct investment has become an important way to participate. The inflow of agricultural FDI has brought advanced agricultural green production technology, high standard sewage system and scientific management experience to China, which has improved agricultural productivity, optimized agricultural industrial structure and promoted agricultural economic development. However, with the rapid growth of agricultural economy, the use intensity of polluting agricultural means of production, such as chemical fertilizer, nitrogen fertilizer and phosphorus fertilizer,is increasing, the pollutant emissions are also increasing, and agricultural non-point source pollution is worsening. In order to realize the transformation of agricultural development mode to the green direction and enhance the sustainable development ability of agriculture,it is essential to systematically study the impact of agricultural FDI on agricultural non-point source pollution. This thesis studies the environmental effects of FDI from the perspective of agriculture, systematically constructs the theoretical analysis framework of agricultural FDI and agricultural non-point source pollution, expounds the impact mechanism of agricultural FDI on local agricultural non-point source pollution from the quantity and quality of agricultural FDI,and expounds the impact mechanism of agricultural FDI on agricultural non-point source pollution in neighboring areas from the perspective of spatial correlation,Then three questions are raised: Will the amount of agricultural FDI have an impact on China’s agricultural non-point source pollution? Is the impact direction of agricultural FDI quality on China’s agricultural non-point source pollution positive or negative? Can agricultural FDI affect agricultural non-point source pollution in neighboring areas through spatial spillover effect? At the same time, this thesis uses the accounting method combining the inventory analysis method and the output coefficient method to calculate the absolute emissions, pollution intensity and equivalent standard emissions of agricultural non-point source pollution in China on the basis of updating the pollution generation coefficient of agricultural non-point source pollution. The results show that different measurement indicators have shown a downward trend in the past decade, which is consistent with the trend of the introduction scale of agricultural FDI,And by studying the spatial characteristics of agricultural non-point source pollution,it is found that agricultural non-point source pollution has a significant positive correlation.Based on the spatial correlation of agricultural non-point source pollution, this thesis uses the spatial econometric method to verify the impact of agricultural FDI on agricultural non-point source pollution, and finally determines the spatial Dubin model with fixed time through the correlation test to verify its impact mechanism. The results show that the quantity and quality of agricultural FDI have significant positive effects on local agricultural non-point source pollution, and have significant positive spatial spillover effects on adjacent agricultural non-point source pollution. After replacing the spatial weight matrix and shortening the time window robustness test, the results are still significant and reliable. In view of the above research conclusions, this thesis puts forward the following policy recommendations: First, optimize the structure of foreign capital and raise the threshold of attracting investment;Secondly, strengthen cooperation in attracting investment and pollution control policies among regions;Thirdly, promote the coordinated development of agricultural production and environmental protection; Finally, establish reasonable environmental regulations to improve the public’s awareness of environmental protection.
