Study On Xi Jinping Thought On Eco-Civilization From The Perspective Of Historical Materialism

Xi Jinping Thought on Eco-Civilization is an important part of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era,a significant theoretical achievement that combines the basic principles of Marxism with the practice of the construction of China’s ecological civilization and with the excellent traditional ecological culture.It shows profound historical materialism implications.This paper analyzes the formation background of Xi Jinping Thought on Eco-Civilization from the aspects of the outbreak of ecological crisis,the inevitable demand of building China into a country with a good environment,the responsibility for people’s livelihood in the new era and the responsibility of a great power.Taking the practices that Xi Jinping promoting the construction of ecological environment as a clue,the formation and development process of Xi Jinping Thought on Eco-Civilization are divided into embryonic stage,preliminary formation stage and integrated development stage.This paper reviews the theoretical origins of Xi Jinping Thought on Eco-Civilization from three aspects,including the ecological thoughts of Marx and Engels,Communist Party of China’s understanding and management experience of ecological problems in practice,and the ecological wisdom in China’s outstanding traditional culture.The discovery of historical materialism points out the direction for human beings to correctly understand and deal with the relationship with nature.Based on this important discovery,Xi Jinping creatively put forward the great idea of harmony between humanity and nature,and formed the systematic and logical Xi Jinping Thought on Eco-Civilization with rich abundant connotation.This paper analyzes the internal structure of Xi Jinping Thought on Eco-Civilization from five aspects: logical starting point,philosophical noumenon,value standpoint,practice approach and orientation of goal.It holds that the logical starting point of Xi Jinping Thought on Eco-Civilization is a profound reflection on the relationship between human and nature,philosophical noumenon means human practice,value standpoint is people-centered,practice approach is share-rule by morality and law,and orientation of goal is harmony between humanity and nature.Xi Jinping Thought on Eco-Civilization,not only a further development of the thought of Marxism ecology,but also a scientific guide for building a beautiful China;moreover,it contributes Chinese wisdom and provides Chinese approaches for global ecological governance,which shows great theoretical significance and practical value.
