Practical Research On Functional Clothing Design For The Elderly Based On Flexible Exoskeleton Technology

With the arrival of the aging society in China,products related to the elderly have received attention from all walks of life.However,the styles and functional forms of clothing for the elderly on the market are relatively single,which cannot meet the physiological and psychological needs of the elderly.Most of the elderly have problems such as limited daily activities due to bone and joint disability,which affects the quality of life of the elderly population.Therefore,this paper is entitled "Practical Research on the Design of functional clothing for the Elderly based on flexible exoskeleton technology",aiming to combine "flexible exoskeleton" and "clothing" to provide relevant help for the elderly with limited behaviors in daily life due to bone and joint disability,so as to facilitate the wearing of the elderly in daily life and protect their physical and mental health.Eliminate the difficulties and obstacles in the use of clothing and life behavior of the elderly.In this paper,the status quo and working principle of the flexible exoskeleton are understood through literature research,and the opportunity points of the product are observed through questionnaire survey and user interview among the elderly,and then the design iteration is completed through wearable evaluation.Firstly,the development of flexible exoskeleton technology,relevant working principles and the current status of functional clothing for the elderly in China are analyzed in the literature research.It is concluded that the wearable structure of flexible exoskeleton is relatively complicated,which is still under research and development and has not been universally combined with the daily clothing of the elderly.Functional clothing for the elderly based on this technology has a large market demand.Secondly,in terms of user research,this paper adopts questionnaire survey and user interview to investigate and understand the current situation of bone and joint disability in the elderly so as to carry out insight analysis on relevant demand points obtained.Then,based on the previous research results,the age-appropriate design and functional positioning of flexible exoskeleton clothing were analyzed,and the relevant design definitions and design principles were summarized:safety and protection,comfort,ease of use,portability and flexible design principles.Finally,the preliminary prototype design is completed in combination with the relevant technical principles to be applied and the functional requirements of this research.The later design practice is optimized and improved through the production and related tests of the preliminary sample clothes.This practical research strives to combine technology application with reality,and the design serves as a bridge to connect,aiming to play a reference role in future functional clothing design for the elderly.
