The aging trend in China is facing serious challenges,and the health problems of the elderly have become the focus of attention from all walks of life.Along with the occurrence of physiological degeneration in the elderly,sleep problems are becoming common in the elderly population.The physiological decline of the elderly and circadian rhythm disorders will affect each other and form a vicious circle,which will lead to the health condition of the elderly becoming more and more serious in the long run,and the sleep health problems of the elderly need to be solved.Medical research has proven that long-term use of sleeping pills can make patients dependent on them and make it difficult to quit.In addition to medication,foreign clinical research shows that light therapy can be used to promote melatonin secretion in the elderly to help them adjust their circadian rhythms,but the technology is not yet commercially available in China,and the use of light therapy in product design is relatively small and weakly adapted to aging.In addition,the sleep monitoring app is an insurmountable digital divide for the elderly in terms of interaction.In summary,without increasing the cognitive load of the elderly,how to help the elderly to perform light therapy on their own,how to help the elderly to relieve sleep anxiety,how to strengthen the cognition of time for the elderly with cognitive impairment so as to effectively regulate the circadian rhythm of the elderly,is the focus of this research.The research content is as follows: 1.The characteristics of the target group of this topic,the elderly,were analyzed.The physiological and psychological characteristics of the elderly were obtained through shadow tracking method,questionnaire distribution and collaborative and cooperative interviews,and the factors causing rhythm disorders in the elderly were summarized in four aspects through tracking research and one-on-one interviews on the daily routine and behavioral habits of the elderly.Based on the above analysis,some guiding principles are proposed for the rhythm adjustment lamps for the elderly.2.The development of natural user interface theory is briefly analyzed,based on which the application of natural user interface in products is analyzed,the corresponding functional architecture is formulated according to the needs of the elderly,the cognitive limitations of the elderly are taken as important reference information for the interaction framework and interaction behavior,and the design of the rhythm adjustment lamps for the elderly is proposed.natural user interface principles for the elderly are proposed,and the opportunity points and design definitions for the design of day and night adjustment lamps for the elderly are discussed.3.The resulting set of requirement features was sorted and grouped,the product appearance was determined by design imagery analysis,and technical solutions were developed based on the interaction framework derived in the previous chapter.Finally,the product was tested for usability,and the results were evaluated and analyzed for further improvement.In conclusion,this paper achieves a multi-disciplinary combination of natural user interface in the application of age-appropriate product design,taking relevant research in the fields of user experience,design psychology,and mental health of the elderly as the research background of this topic,and providing design ideas and references for natural interaction methods in intelligent product design for the elderly based on the original relevant research results.
