Affected by the pandemic, the global economy as a whole is on a downward trend.Countries are strongly advocating green economy and sustainable development, promoting high-quality economic development and continuous improvement of the ecological environment. As a result, environmental, social, and governance(ESG)approaches to sustainable development have received widespread attention. However,at present, the overall level of ESG information disclosure in our country is low,and there is no standard of disclosure applied to the industry.Because of its particularity, the medical profession is closely related to the health and safety of the people and needs to take on more social responsibilities. The purpose of this thesis is to improve the current situation of information disclosure in the pharmaceutical industry, combining the theory of signal transmission with the theory of stakeholders.Taking Zhifei Biological as an example and using the case analysis method, this thesis analyzes the characteristics of ESG information disclosure in China’s pharmaceutical industry and puts forward some suggestions for other enterprises. The results show that the quality of ESG disclosure in the pharmaceutical industry is still insufficient. There is no uniform standard of disclosure in the industry, and some enterprises are not aware of information disclosure. At present, the development focus is to standardize the disclosure standards in the industry, adopt the third-party audit to improve the quality and comparability of information disclosure, and enhance the awareness of independent disclosure in the industry.Due to the characteristics of information disclosure and the long release cycle,ESG reports often have lags, which, combined with voluntary disclosure principles, make disclosure content and quality difficult to guarantee. At present, how to improve the quality of disclosure to make the content and scope of disclosure more comparable is always difficult to solve. Therefore,it is necessary for the state to promote the formulation and improvement of relevant laws and regulations, and promote the standardization and standardization of disclosure standards and industries. |
