Based on China’s requirements for energy structure adjustment and environmental protection, natural gas,as an efficient, clean and high-quality energy, has an increasing demand in China. At present, importing LNG by sea is one of the main ways of importing natural gas in China. In order to ensure the stable supply of China’s offshore imported LNG,it is necessary to analyze and evaluate the transportation potential of China’s offshore LNG transportation routes. At the same time,in the past research, there are few studies considering the carbon emission of LNG transport ships, which has only received extensive attention in recent years. Therefore, based on the predecessors, this paper considers the differences of the current power propulsion system of LNG transport ships, and further optimizes the route allocation of imported LNG in China.Firstly, this paper analyzes the transportation status of imported LNG in China, establishes the evaluation index system of LNG maritime transportation by using analytic hierarchy process, and evaluates the transportation potential of multiple maritime routes of imported LNG in China combined with fuzzy comprehensive evaluation.Secondly, the existing LNG ship power propulsion system is introduced in detail.Through the analysis of its current situation and application, four propulsion systems are selected for research. On this basis, aiming at minimizing the total ship operation cost and carbon emissions in the planning cycle, this paper establishes a dual objective planning route allocation model.Based on the results of the comprehensive evaluation of LNG transportation routes, the route with high transportation potential is selected as the target route of the model experiment.Gurobi is used to solve the model, and the feasibility and effectiveness of the model are verified by numerical experiments. The research shows that by improving the LNG ship technology and improving the ship power propulsion system, the fuel consumption constant of the ship can be reduced and the carbon emission of the ship in the process of transportation can be reduced; At the same time, reducing the speed and increasing the capacity of ships and configuring the transport capacity structure dominated by large ships are also effective measures to significantly reduce the total cost of ship operation and carbon emissions. The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)Through the evaluation of the transportation potential of China’s imported LNG routes, the routes with good stability and high shipping potential are obtained, which has important reference value for relevant departments to select and optimize the maritime transportation routes of China’s imported LNG in the future.(2)By comparing the advantages and disadvantages of different ship power propulsion systems, the ship allocation model of China’s imported LNG route is optimized based on the differences of ship power propulsion systems,so as to provide new ideas for the development of China’s imported LNG transportation fleet in the future.
