| After more than 40 years of reform and opening up,China’s economy has achieved a qualitative leap.However,in the early stage of this time,in order to catch up with the momentum of world economic development,China took the road of first developing the economy and then managing the environment,this has caused huge losses to China’s ecological environment.Resource-based enterprises represented by coal and oil have made great contributions to the economy but also caused serious pollution to water resources and air quality.The uncontrolled exploitation of resources has also resulted in serious depletion of natural resources,making social and economic development unsustainable.To this end,China has put forward a series of policies and guidelines.Green development,high-quality development,and the new goal of "carbon peak and carbon neutral" all demonstrate the country’s determination to clean up the environment.The contradiction between economic development and environmental protection has become the most concerned topic of the country and the public.At the same time,affected by the overcapacity of enterprises and insufficient market demand,the profits of coal,steel and other industries are meager,and the losses are widened.As resourcebased enterprises which have made great contribution to China’s economic development in the past and the future,how to maintain the competitiveness of the enterprise under the above-mentioned multiple pressures is an issue that every resource-based enterprise should consider.The green transformation is the first choice to solve this problem.How do resource-based enterprises carry out green transformation? Green transformation is bound to involve huge costs,and what impact will it have on the overall performance of the company? Is this effect favorable or unfavorable? These are the research hotspots of scholars at home and abroad.By combing literature,the author finds that for the green transformation of resource-based enterprises,different companies choose different paths.There are various paths such as expanding the industrial chain and seeking high-tech means.On the impact of green transformation on enterprise performance,scholars have not reached a unified conclusion.Their analysis mainly relies on empirical research,so there are doubts about whether individual cases are applicable.Based on the above and considering that the coal industry occupies an important position in resource-based enterprises,this paper selects Yankuang Energy,which ranks high in the coal industry,as the case study object to explore the path of green transformation and its influence.In order to propose some optimization measures for the green transformation of Yankuang Energy,and also provide reference for other resource-based enterprises that are exploring the path of green transformation.This paper first uses the literature analysis method to analyze the content of the domestic and foreign literature on the green transformation of resource-based enterprises and the impact of green transformation on enterprise performance,then introduces theories such as stakeholders,to analyze the current development status of resourcebased enterprises and the necessity of green transformation.Secondly,this paper analyzes the green transformation path of Yankuang Energy.Furthermore,the financial data and non-financial data of Yankuang Energy before and after the implementation of the green transformation strategy from 2009 to 2020 are selected to analyze the changes in corporate performance since the green transformation.Finally,it is concluded that the green transformation of Yankuang Energy has a positive impact on the operating ability and profitability of the company,but it has a negative impact on the short-term solvency and has no obvious impact on the long-term solvency and development ability.This conclusion still needs to be tested for a longer time in the future.According to the above analysis results,this paper proposes the following green transformation optimization measures: first,enterprises should strengthen green innovation and the cooperation with other enterprises in the same industry;Second,enterprises should do a good job in the training of high-quality personnel and set up a new era of talent training concept,introduce more technical personnel in short supply in other fields;Third,enterprises can explore diversified development paths on the basis of the existing industrial layout,and exploit new profit space with the advantage of overseas layout;Fourth,enterprises can strengthen the degree of environmental information disclosure,establish a sound environmental information disclosure system,adding invisible power for the improvement of enterprise performance. |
