Polymers are widely used in wading sports equipment because of their excellent friction reducing and wear-resisting properties.In the solution environment,the wear debris is dispersed in the solution,which has a profound impact on the friction and wear process of the friction pair.During the operation of ships and other equipment on water,electromagnetic fields may be generated to excite the electromagnetic response of the friction and wear surface,thus affecting the wear and corrosion state and mechanism of the surface/interface,and causing the friction,wear and corrosion problems under the electromagnetic action.Because it is difficult t o extract a large amount of wear debris,this paper uses powder to replace wear debris,and studies the effects of powder and magnetic field strength on the friction and wear properties of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene(UHMWPE)nylon 66(PA66)m aterial in solution environment.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)In this paper,based on the original friction and wear tester,a friction and wear tester is developed,which can carry out tribological tests in both magnetic field an d solution environment.Its transmission structure and loading mode are improved,which can carry out friction and wear tests in both magnetic field and solution environment,and collect,display and store test data.(2)The friction and wear properties of polymer / aluminum disk friction pair with and without magnetic field were compared.In the environment with or without magnetic field,the wear amount and friction coefficient of UHMWPE decreased after adding powder,and its friction reduction and wear resistance improved.With the increase of magnetic field strength,its friction reduction and wear resistance gradually improved.For PA66 material,in the environment without magnetic field,the addition of powder increases the wear in pure water and seawater.In the environment with magnetic field,the friction reducing performance of PA66 material in seawater becomes better with the increase of magnetic field strength.The addition of powder makes this change more obvious.The change is more obvious after adding powder.After adding the powder,the abrasive particles are refined under the influence of magnetic field,and the powder is attached to the wear surface,which improves the wear resistance of the material.The results of electrochemical experiments show that the powder can form a physical barrier on the surface and reduce the corrosion current density to protect the electrode surface from corrosion.(3)The tribological and electrochemical tests show that in seawater solution,due to the action of ions,the powder is easier to adhere to the surface to reduce corrosion and wear,which indicates that there is an interaction among electrochemistry,friction and magnetic field,and also indicates the synergistic effect between the powder and the solution environment.In the test of magnetic field environment,the corrosion current density decreased gradually with the increase of magnetic field strength.It indicates that with the increase of magnetic field strength,the abrasive particles are easier to a dhere to the electrode surface after refinement.
