In recent years,China’s economy has entered a stage of high-quality development.It actively promotes the upgrading of industrial structure,improves factor allocation efficiency,transforms the economic development mode,and strongly supports innovation and entrepreneurship,which have become important focus areas for promoting economic development in our country.As one of the important means of government intervention in the market,government-guided funds have played a crucial role not only in investment guidance but also in considering the external effects brought by investment projects to industries and regions.Therefore,the trends of government-guided funds greatly influence the development of venture capital firms and the choices made by investors.Due diligence,as an important part of equity investment activities of government-guided funds,serves as the foundation for evaluating the investment value and risks of projects,providing scientific decision-making basis for investment decisions.In addition,government-guided funds,due to their strong characteristics of public investment,will emphasize the consideration of public benefits when conducting due diligence on investment projects.It can be seen that government-guided funds play a crucial role in improving the financing situation of small and medium-sized enterprises and supporting their development.How to carry out due diligence work of government-guided funds in a scientific and efficient manner is an important aspect of optimizing the performance management of government-guided funds in our country.This article is based on existing domestic and foreign research on government-guided funds and investment due diligence,combined with relevant theories such as agency theory and externality theory.It analyzes the problems encountered in the equity investment due diligence activities of Government Fund J towards Company T,identifies the root causes of these problems,and finally puts forward a series of optimization suggestions specifically aimed at the due diligence of equity investment by government-guided funds,in order to promote the scientific and standardized development of due diligence work and ensure the correctness of government-guided fund equity investment decisions.
