Abstract/Summary:
In recent years, with the development of electronic device manufacturing technology, radar has entered the field of security.Security radar has the advantages of small size, lightweight, strong anti-interference ability, and high safety, and its popularity in the security market continues to increase. At present, most security radars cannot meet the market demand in terms of cost and detection performance,so it is extremely important to study a security radar with low-cost and good monitoring performance. In this thesis, based on the research of radar-related technologies and the current status of domestic and international research on security radar,we independently developed a K-band security radar with economical and practical, high accuracy, small size, and no blind area at close range. The radar is mainly for the regional detection of targets such as vehicles and UAVs.It can effectively detect basic information such as distance, speed, and angle of targets within the radiation range, and upload detection data to the host computer in real-time.The specific research results and work are summarized as follows.1.Starting from the market demand for security radar products,we analyze and compare the advantages and disadvantages of radars with different working systems and frequency bands, and determine to develop the LFMCW radar based on K-band.In addition,we introduce the range and speed measurement as well as the angle measurement principle of LFMCW radar. Then,we determine the signal processing algorithm and various parameters according to the LFMCW working system and calculate the performance indexes of the radar according to the set radar parameters. Finally, the principle of signal processing algorithms such as MTD and CFAR in this radar system is elaborated and the simulation is verified by using the MATLAB platform.2.The K-band security radar is designed and implemented from both hardware and software parts. The hardware part mainly designs the schematic diagram and PCB for the selfdeveloped signal processing board and RF board. The specific design content of the signal processing board includes FPGA selection,FLASH design,ADC selection, and power supply design;the specific design content of the RF board includes the core RF chip selection, hardware circuit design, amplifier and filter design, etc. The software part is mainly designed for PL side and ARM side, and the main content is to implement digital signal processing algorithms such as MTD and CFAR in ZYNQ7100 and upload data.3.Some necessary test experiments are carried out on the basic functions of the radar system. In order to verify whether the basic functions of the radar board are normal after completing the schematic and PCB design and whether the detection performance meets the index, the power supply test,ADC test, and antenna beamwidth test are performed on the radar board. In order to verify the basic functions of the radar, the functions of the radar transmitting and receiving signals as well as the transmission of UDP data are tested.4.In order to test the overall detection effectiveness of the radar system, detection experiments are carried out on the UAVs and road vehicles in the off-site experimental environment, respectively.By comparing the ZYNQ digital signal processing results with the MATLAB offline analysis results, the performance of the radar is specifically evaluated in terms of range, speed, and angle measurements.Based on the detection of UAVs and road vehicles, the actual power of the radar in detecting UAVs and vehicles is projected to be471 m and 1339 m respectively, which basically meets the design indexes of K-band security radar systems for UAV and vehicle detection. Finally, the solution ideas for system optimization are proposed based on the results of the measured data.
