China is a large country of citrus production and consumption.In the production process of citrus,storage and preservation of this link is crucial,practice proves that Polyethylene(PE)film packaging can effectively prolong the storage time of citrus.At present,the film packaging of citrus is still completed by manual,but the manual packaging efficiency is low and the packaging quality is poor.Most of the domestic citrus packaging machinery uses thick Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene(BOPP)film or Polyvinyl Chloride(PVC)film for sales packaging,citrus stored in such packaging is prone to anaerobic respiration and accelerated decay.In this paper,we develop a citrus storage film packaging machine with PE cartridge film and double channels working simultaneously for the problems that occurred in manual packaging,the whole machine realizes smoothly and efficiently work,the specific research work is as follows:(1)According to the problems of low efficiency and poor quality of manual packaging,as well as the status of film packaging equipment at domestic and foreign markets,the functional requirements and relevant technical specifications of the whole machine were determined.The packaging process scheme,sealing and cutting process scheme and packaging procedure were analyzed and studied,and the packaging process scheme with two sides sealing was determined,as well as the sealing and cutting process scheme combining plate heat sealing and cutter cutting,the packaging procedure of cutting and then heat sealing was formulated,which provide the design basis for the overall structure of the whole machine and control system.(2)The overall structure design of the whole machine.According to the process scheme and packaging flow,focused on the design of loading device,feeding device,supplying film device,bagging device,sealing and cutting device and discharging device.Solidworks was applied to realize the three-dimensional solid modeling of the whole machine,the work principle of each device is analyzed,in addition,the critical structure and relevant technical data of the part of each device are designed,and the reasonable location of each device is arranged.(3)Based on ANSYS Workbench software,the FEM model of the critical parts of the whole machine was established and the corresponding calibration analysis was completed.In order to check whether the critical parts can meet the performance requirements,the static mechanical analysis was carried out for the components such as film puller and heat sealer,etc.The results show that the design of the relevant parts are reasonable and the strength,it can meet the performance requirements;meanwhile,the thermal analysis were carried out for the heat sealer,and after the calibration test,the temperature,heat flux and directional heat flow of the heat sealer are suitable and meet the actual requirements of production.(4)The design of pneumatic drive system and electric control system of the whole machine.Firstly,the pneumatic circuit was designed according to the process scheme and packaging flow,and the pneumatic component models were determined through analysis and calculation,secondly,according to the functional requirements,Mitsubishi FX series PLC was selected as the control kernel of the electronic control system,as well as the control function flow of feeding system,bagging system,film supply system and sealing and cutting system were designed,meanwhile,the I/O ports of PLC were assigned,and the control program was compiled with GX-Works software.Finally,the relevant wiring connection and system debugging were completed.The trial production of the prototype was completed,and related experimental studies were carried out.Through orthogonal tests,the optimal heat sealing parameter scheme of heat sealing temperature 130℃,heat sealing time 1.2s and film thickness0.02 mm was explored.According to the optimal heat sealing process parameters,the performance test was conducted,and the test results indicate that the packaging success rate of the prototype machine is 97.1%,the packaging quality rate is 90.3% and the packaging efficiency is 45 pcs/min.The working process of the prototype ran smoothly and the packaging quality is good,which reached the expected target and requirements.
