| With increasingly fierce market competition,continuous technological innovation,and ever-changing consumer demands,companies cannot reasonably integrate and utilize internal and external resources to meet challenges.Obviously,the business model of a single company is not enough to support its own long-term good performance.Through supply chain business model innovation,enterprises can fully integrate and utilize high-quality resources from various channels,quickly adapt to changes in the external environment,and achieve rapid development.Therefore,supply chain business model innovation has become an important means of competition among enterprises.Especially for state-owned enterprises,although they are supported by the government’s key resources and tilted by the ‘legitimacy’ policy,they still have the embarrassing situation of bloated resources and sluggish development.Therefore,finding the ‘key’ for efficient use of resources has become the key to realizing the innovation of the business model of the supply chain of state-owned enterprises.This paper selects Baoshan Iron and Steel Co.,Ltd.as the case study object,uses the single case study method,collects data by combining primary data and secondary data,and conducts open coding of the collected data.From the perspective of resource action,it deeply explores the state-owned in the context of relatively abundant resources,how to guide resource allocation and action mode through strategic orientation,and reveals the innovation path and formation mechanism of state-owned enterprise supply chain under the influence of resource-focused action.The research shows that the innovation path of supply chain business model in stateowned enterprises will go through a three-stage development: "market-demand supply chain business model – technology-innovative supply chain business model--collaborative service supply chain business model" under the situation of abundant resources.In each developing stage,the state-owned enterprises could effectively promote the adaptive adjustment between direction of resources allocation and style of resources usage through strategic orientation,achieves the resource strategies’ evolution from the “simple configuration” of resource bricolage,“focusing breakthrough” of resource configuration to “deepening expansion” of resource orchestration,finally realizes the innovation evolution process of the supply chain business model evolution throughout the stages.In terms of theoretical contribution,this paper uses the inherent theoretical connection between strategic orientation and resource action to explain the innovation path and formation mechanism of state-owned enterprise supply chain business model innovation to a certain extent;at the same time,in this formation and evolution process,this paper explains the different ‘heterogeneous’ action modes of resource-focused action in different development stages of state-owned enterprises,expands the applicable situation of resource-focused action,and enriches and extends the conceptual connotation of resource-focused action.From a practical point of view,this research can also guide the innovative practice of state-owned enterprise supply chain business models. |
