The Application Of Decorative Graphics In Shanghai Art Deco Architecture In Lady’s Fashion Design

Shanghai is one of the places with the most Art Deco buildings in China.It not only has the basic characteristics of Art Deco buildings in other cities,but also adds local cultural characteristics such as traditional mascots and sun radiating rays,and has a modern industrial fashion sense.These characteristics symbolize the vigorous development of Shanghai in that era and the positive and optimistic spirit of the new era.The decorative graphics of Shanghai Art Deco buildings have high artistic and cultural value,but there is some lag in the current application of inheritance design,especially in the innovative application of shape,style structure,fabric transformation and pattern,accessories and process details in women’s clothing design superior.In the era of brand development in which consumers take cultural consumption as the core,this thesis aims to apply the decorative graphics in Shanghai Art Deco architecture as a cultural form in women’s clothing design,inheriting Shanghai’s unique Art Deco history and culture.On the basis of previous studies,starting from the classification and design techniques of Shanghai Art Deco architectural decoration graphics,three classifications and corresponding design techniques of Shanghai Art Deco architectural decoration graphics are studied.Then I tried to apply the decorative graphics of Shanghai Art Deco architecture to the shape,style structure,fabric transformation and pattern,accessories and process details of women’s clothing design through two design strategies,so as to provide women’s clothing design with historical and cultural themed creative ideas.Finally,on the basis of theoretical research,combined with the design drawings of the graduation design practice and the display of physical works,to fully demonstrate the decorative graphics of Shanghai Art Deco buildings,through graphic remodeling and design techniques to draw on the feasibility of the application of the two strategies in women’s clothing design.
