Oil-bearing sludge(OS)is a complex, structurally stable hazardous waste that is difficult to treat safely, efficiently and economically, and how to treat it scientifically has become a major challenge for the petrochemical industry. The use of coal water slurry(CWS)technology for the co-disposal of OS can achieve the reduction, harmless and resourceful use of OS,which is of economic, environmental protection and high efficiency. In this paper,Inner Mongolia Ruide coal and OS produced by petrochemical enterprises were chosen as the raw material to investigate the rules of the effect of OS blending on the properties of CWS.To modify the treatment of OS,analyse the trend of the change of CWS properties after blending with modified OS,and investigate the mechanism of the effect of OS on CWS properties by using analytical instruments such as infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR)and scanning electron microscopy-energy spectrometry(SEM-EDX).Finally,using a thermal analyser(TGA),the law of the effect of blended OS on the combustion performance of CWS was investigated and kinetic calculations were carried out.The conclusions are as follows:(1)The slurry concentration of the CWS decreases as the amount of OS added increases, with the viscosity concentration of the CWS decreasing from 62.03%to54.24%as the amount of OS added increases from 0%to 10%.However,the slurry consistency factor K gradually increases, the rheological index n gradually decreases, the 24h water separation rate gradually decreases, and the pseudoplasticity and stability of the CWS gradually increases as the amount of OS blended increases. The rich hydroxyl structure on the surface of the OS and the spatial mesh structure formed by the OS adhering to the coal particles can bind free water, resulting in an increase in viscosity and a decrease in concentration of slurry.(2)The modification treatment significantly reduces the viscosity of the OS,in particular when treated with 10%NaOH,the viscosity of the OS itself can be reduced from over 1800 mPa·s to 891.8 mPa·s.Treatment with NaOH and SDBS increased the slurry consistency of OS-CWS,and the viscosity concentration increased from 54.24%to 56.74%and 57.32%respectively when blended with 10%OS.However,the NaOH and SDBS modified slurry consistency factor K decreased, the rheological index n increased, the 24h water separation rate increased, and the pseudoplasticity of the slurry was weakened and its stability decreased. The modification treatment destroys the hydroxyl and surface flocculent structure of the OS,disrupting the spatial reticulation of the OS-CWS,which in turn affects the slurry properties.(3)The addition of OS promoted the combustion process of CWS,and the best combustion effect was achieved when OS was added at 5%,when the combustion temperature was reduced from 944.85 K to 880.55 K,the average combustion rate was increased from 1.54%·min-1 to 1.89%·min-1,and the overall combustion characteristics index S was increased from 6.81×10-9·min-2·K-3 to 12.25×10-9·min-2·K-3.The treatment with NaOH and SDBS modification further reduced the combustion temperature to 834.55 K and 842.25 K and further increased the S-value to14.99×10-9·min-2·K-3and 14.45×10-9·min-2·K-3,further enhancing the combustion performance of CWS.Kinetic calculation analysis shows, the number of reaction stages for CWS combustion after blending with OS is 3/2.The apparent activation energy E of CWS after blending with OS can be reduced from 57.56 kJ·mol-1 to 51.86kJ·mol-1 at most;the apparent activation energy E of OS-CWS combustion is further reduced to 43.91 kJ·mol-1after modification treatment, and the combustion performance of CWS is further improved.Figure[32]Table[26]Reference[124]...
