Research On The Creation Of Peach Wood Jewelry Based On The Traditional Chinese Concept Of Praying For Blessings

Based on people’s aspiration for a better life,wearing jewelry to pray for good fortune is a way of trust that has existed since ancient times.Blessing jewelry can not only balance the negative emotions,but also enhance the spiritual power of people,is the specific embodiment of human spiritual needs and material pursuits.The peach wood ornaments carrying blessings in the traditional Chinese culture have the concept of praying for good luck and avoiding bad luck,and still have a profound impact on modern people.With the concept of blessing as the basis and peach wood jewelry as the research object,we explore how to combine the concept of blessing with the peach wood jewelry creation method.This paper attempts to explore the relationship between the concept of blessing and peach wood by collecting and organizing the results of relevant literature;collecting cases of peach wood jewelry in traditional folk and modern design to explore how peach wood jewelry expresses the concept of blessing;analyzing the influence of the concept of blessing on jewelry,comparing and organizing the jewelry of blessing by domestic and foreign artists from three directions: material,shape and concept,and providing a direction for the creation of peach wood jewelry.Through a series of practical research such as material testing,we explore the material language,modeling language and conceptual presentation of peach wood jewelry under the concept of blessing.The material symbol of peach wood material is chosen as the carrier of the concept of blessing;the fingerprint texture is formed by stacking peach wood shavings after the shaving process;and the koi shape with the symbol of blessing is combined with the way of "forwarding koi" to present the peach wood jewelry with the concept of blessing.Influenced by the concept of praying for blessings,the production of peach wood jewelry that echoes the selection of materials,shapes and concepts,its cultural heritage is more infectious than ordinary jewelry,giving the wearer spiritual trust.
