The Contemporary Jewelry Art Creation Practice With Nontraditional Materials Of Titanium Metal As An Example

Jewelry,as a personal adornment of human beings,is made of animal bones,jade and gold and silver jewelry.Until now,jewelry has broken through the limitations of traditional materials,and more non-traditional materials have been used by artists in contemporary jewelry production.The emergence of non-traditional materials is both an opportunity and a challenge for jewelry practitioners.While enriching the diversity of jewelry types and giving jewelry richer cultural connotations,it also tests the subjective creativity of jewelry creators,as well as their ability to understand and control materials.Not only can it be used in new materials,but also more flexible in design,more possibilities and new breakthroughs in technology can be achieved.In this paper,the non-traditional material titanium metal as an example is discussed,from the basic physical properties of titanium metal to the specific use of jewelry in a detailed analysis and experiment.This paper expounds the inevitability of the emergence of non-traditional materials from four aspects: aesthetic interest,market demand,technical level and environmental protection.At the same time,it compares the traditional material with the non-traditional material horizontally,summarizes the commonness of the non-traditional material and carries on the feasibility creation practice.Around the concept of "development",this paper attempts to use non-traditional materials as a medium to form a brand-new jewelry form for traditional jewelry crafts,in order to promote traditional culture.This paper chooses three traditional crafts,filament enamel,Plique-a jour and mokumegane,to carry out relevant practical creation.Through creative practice to seek creative expression of non-traditional materials in contemporary jewelry art,I hope to promote non-traditional materials in jewelry technology,design and form in all aspects of theoretical and practical basis.
