Functional foods are generally targeted at a more concentrated group of people and are characterised by their ability to enhance immunity,regulate body rhythms and supplement nutritional elements,etc.However,the rapid development of the industry has resulted in a wide range of product efficacy and a tendency to lack distinct recognition.At present,the packaging of some functional food products in the market does not highlight the efficacy of the products,and there are too many real-life endorsement packaging elements,compared to IP image packaging elements,which are costly and unstable.IP image can meet the audience’s emotional experience and close the distance between consumers due to its personalised characteristics and vivid shape.With the rapid development of new media in today’s era,IP images can be effectively promoted.Therefore,IP images can be integrated into packaging design to highlight the visual effect,attract consumers’ attention and promote the dissemination and expansion of the product market.The article discusses three main aspects.Firstly,this study analyses the concept of IP and the construction of IP image to provide theoretical support for the application of IP image in functional food packaging design,and through further research on IP,the construction method of IP image is obtained;secondly,through the market case research and analysis of functional food packaging,the application method and path of IP image in functional food packaging is considered,and in the functional food In the application of functional food brand packaging design,the IP image with different characteristics of the target group is constructed by combining the actual situation of the brand,so as to establish a distinctive brand image and arouse the emotional resonance of the audience;through the packaging combined with the scene,the value of the product experience is created;the brand flow is increased by packaging design innovation,so as to sublimate the brand value and meaning to a certain extent.Finally,the“Mr.Dika” series of products include beverages,meal replacements and nutritional dried fruit,etc.The different characters and scenes of the IP image are applied to the product packaging,and the actual design demonstrates that the IP image with character qualities can highlight the product characteristics of functional food and enhance the brand value.Overall,IP images are of great significance and value in the packaging of functional food brands.It is hoped that this study will provide valuable design practice and theoretical reference for the innovation of functional food packaging,by showing how IP images can highlight the characteristics of functional food products through packaging design and attract consumers to increase product sales.
