Application Of “Movable Type Printing” Technology In Experiential Display Design

As one of the four great inventions in ancient China,"movable type printing" has provided important technical support for the dissemination of world culture in a long historical period.With the change of times and the emergence of modern printing technology,"movable type printing" has lost its original practical value,can no longer meet the needs of society,and gradually faded out of the public’s vision.As a traditional printing process integrating the wisdom and creativity of the ancients,it has realized the innovation of block printing in the whole plate engraving technology,making the printing technology enter the era of letterpress printing,It plays an important role in the dissemination and exchange of world culture and has important practical significance and cultural value.In view of this,the author attempts to seek a new communication carrier for it from the perspective of modern design,so as to better reflect its cultural and social values.Firstly,this paper discusses the development context and historical influence of movable type printing,deeply analyzes its attribute characteristics and the attribute classification of blank material,and discusses the reasons for the decline of "movable type printing",in order to activate and reproduce the excellent traditional culture in the way of "cultural information dissemination + interaction + experience" and give it new vitality.Secondly,it analyzes the feasibility of the application of "movable type printing" technology in the movable type printing experience area,and explores the activation path of the application of "movable type printing" technology in the experience display space.The research of this subject takes the movable type printing experience area as the carrier,uses the modern display design principle,puts the specific process of the "movable type printing" process into it through the way of "cultural information display + process experience",combines it with puzzle games,and integrates the specific literary elements such as Tang poetry and Song Ci,which plays the role of teaching in fun and cultural communication,so as to deepen the audience’s understanding of the "movable type printing" process,Imperceptibly feel the unique charm of traditional printing technology,so as to enhance national pride and cultural self-confidence,and provide new ideas for the application of other intangible cultural heritage in experiential display design.
