The Application And Research Of Haining Shadow Play Elements In The New Chinese Fashion Design

When the Song Dynasty moved south,Haining shadow puppetry emerged from Zhejiang province and became the model of Shadow puppetry in China.Shadow puppetry of Haining is not only the childhood memory of several generations but also the product of folk culture.It has rich material,auspicious meaning,elegant color,unique shape,and exquisite craftsmanship.It brings together the cultural,aesthetic,and practical values of fine arts,opera,film,history,music,and craftsmanship.With the opening of the country to the outside world and the improvement of the country’s comprehensive strength,new Chinese clothing brands have become a trend.Although traditional ethnic patterns are widely used in the design,there are also some phenomena such as stacking,and the design of Haining shadow puppetry elements is rarely used.Firstly,This article traces the origin of Haining from the perspective of history,Haining’s unique charm is found by combing the basic context of its development and comparing the Haining shadow play with other regional similarities and differences between schools of shadow play.In addition,this paper makes an in-depth analysis of the redrawn shadow puppetry that maintains the tradition and modernity of Haining shadow puppetry,explores the symbolic expression of its clothing,excavates its cultural connotation and aesthetic value,and redesigns it through decomposition,extracts,and draws lessons from the elements of Haining shadow puppetry,and integrates them with modern fashion elements and aesthetic concepts.Although shadow puppetry in Shaanxi and Hebei regions has been widely studied and applied by people,Haining shadow puppetry,a little-known national intangible heritage,has not yet been explored,and there are almost no cases involving the application of Haining shadow puppetry elements in new Chinese costume design.Starting from the perspectives of Haining shadow puppetry’s color configuration,technological realization,implied meaning-extraction,composition innovation,and decorative layout,this paper explores the ideas and methods of perfect application of Haining shadow puppetry elements in new Chinese costume design and proposes the ingenious application of Haining shadow puppetry elements in the study of new Chinese costume design from the following aspects: 1.Innovation and evolution of Haining shadow silhouette in new Chinese fashion design,such as re-transplantation,deconstruction and reorganization,and simple symbiosis;2.The integration and sharing of the implied meaning of Haining shadow play and the new Chinese costume pattern;3.Absorption and good use of the color scheme of Haining shadow puppetry in the color collocation of New Chinese clothing;4.The decorative layout of Haining shadow play pattern in different positions of New Chinese clothing;5.The study and imitation of Haining’s performance techniques in new Chinese costume decoration;6.The combination of traditional techniques and modern techniques of Haining shadow puppetry in new Chinese costumes.This paper explores the application of Haining shadow play art elements in new Chinese fashion design,which not only expands valuable decorative materials and inspiration sources for new Chinese fashion design but also re-endows the ancient art of Haining shadow play with new vitality and vitality,so as to promote the lively inheritance of this folk "grassroots" culture.
