In the epoch of knowledge-based economy,patent analysis has become an important choice for strategic and technical intelligence analysis in the industry.Because intellectual property has become more and more hot in the last few years,many garbage patents without innovative content have become rampant,which has a serious negative impact on the technical innovation analysis and strategic decision-making of industry leaders and enterprise managers,causes waste of market resources and unfair competition and hinders the development of technological innovation level of innovation subjects.In order to fully learn the potential strategic mode and core technology innovation trend in the industry,this paper proposes a machine learning method of big data for core knowledge.Taking global patent data of Derwent in the field of new materials,one of the strategic emerging industries,as an example.We combine Page Rank algorithm,LDA topic model and hierarchical time series trend prediction innovatively to analyze and predict the core patent knowledge profile in the field of global new materials.The conclusion mainly include:(1)Excellent depth and breadth of knowledge have a significant positive effect on high-quality innovation and core technology development of innovation subjects.(2)The topics mined by Page Rank algorithm and LDA theme model can show the core technology focus in the field of new materials,which clearly show the potential strategic knowledge of the industry.(3)Related technologies based on and derived from metal raw materials are always the strategic core in the field of new materials.(4)The fields of new energy materials,graphene and high-performance special materials have huge development space,which will be the focus of competitive strategies of all countries in the future.(5)At present,there are still technical difficulties in many sub fields with low knowledge but great potential value.Research result shows that the differences of various areas on the core knowledge profile in new material and dynamically visualize emerging,stable and declining knowledge domains in the field,which clearly shows the evolution of the core technology strategy made by industry leaders.It has great lesson meaning for the future development and transformation of core technologies in the field of new materials in China.At the same time,it also proves the importance of the big data machine learning method which draw the industry core patent knowledge profile proposed in this paper for nation and enterprise strategy and knowledge management.It also has an important guiding value for future decision-making.
