Research On Development Trend Of Coal-To-Methanol Technology Based On Patent Information Analysis

China’s objective conditions of "rich in coal,poor in oil and little in gas" require that our energy consumption is still dominated by coal.The traditional coal industry has short industry chain,low efficiency and high pollution,while the development of modern coal chemical industry is a clean energy road,which accords with the current national conditions of Our country.The technology of methanol from coal is more mature in modern coal chemical industry and it is more economical and reasonable to develop the technology.Based on patent information,this paper studies and analyzes the development trend of coal-to-methanol technology in China,the hot technical fields of international coal-to-methanol patent,and the H-index of coal-to-methanol patent holder,in order to provide targeted countermeasures and suggestions for the development of coal-to-methanol technology in China.Firstly,the application trend and patentee distribution of coal-to-methanol technology in China are analyzed by statistical analysis method.Combined with the technology life cycle theory,it is found that coal-to-methanol technology in China is in the decline period and will enter the recovery period.At the same time,Arc GIS software was used to visually analyze the spatial distribution characteristics of effective patents and invention patents in provinces and cities.It was found that coal-tomethanol technology initially formed "Beijing-Shanghai-Tianjin" as the cluster center,and eastern coastal provinces as the cluster development trend,with obvious regional differences.Secondly,based on scientific knowledge map method,combining with the knowledge of the IPC and the technology of DMC map visualization analysis was carried out on the international coal methanol synthesis technology,found that the hot focus in the field of chemical technology,a few have been used in the field of medicine,including technical topics in the field of chemical mainly for acyclic or carbon ring compounds,expansion agent,ethylene oxide（CO）polymers,etc.Finally,the h index and number of patents of the assignees of the international coal-to-methanol technology were counted,and the correlation analysis of the H index of the assignees of the international coal-to-methanol technology was conducted by using SPSS software.It was found that the correlation coefficient of Person between the H index of the assignees of the international coal-to-methanol technology and the number of patents was r=0.572,between 0.4-0.6.The patent quality needs to be improved.
