Prefabricated buildings have become an important way for the transformation and upgrading of my country’s construction industry.Compared with traditional cast-in-place buildings, prefabricated buildings are considered to have significant energy saving and emission reduction benefits. Moreover, with its large-scale production, efficiency improvement and standardization development, the impact of prefabricated buildings on energy conservation, emission reduction and low-carbon transformation of the construction industry has been widely discussed.Existing research results mainly focus on analyzing the energy saving and emission reduction effects of prefabricated buildings and their microscopic influencing factors. There are few studies on the factors and effects of prefabricated buildings affecting energy conservation and emission reduction in the construction industry, and more because of the official data on the development of prefabricated buildings. The lack makes empirical research difficult. This paper obtains the development data of prefabricated buildings through crawler technology, and empirically analyzes the key factors and threshold effects of the development of prefabricated buildings affecting energy conservation and emission reduction in the construction industry based on co-integration analysis and threshold regression model.Make relevant suggestions for transformation and upgrading. The main research contents and innovations are as follows:First, measure and analyze the comprehensive efficiency of energy conservation and emission reduction in my country’s construction industry.Based on the input-output perspective,a super-efficiency SBM model is constructed to comprehensively measure the static and dynamic efficiency of energy conservation and emission reduction in my country’s construction industry from 2005 to 2019,and analyze the current development of energy conservation and emission reduction in the construction industry and the shortcomings it faces. The empirical results show that the overall energy conservation and emission reduction efficiency of my country’s construction industry is not high, showing a fluctuating upward trend, and the promotion of energy conservation and emission reduction technologies in most areas is lacking.Combining the analysis results with the actual development of the construction industry, the possible correlation between the development trend of prefabricated buildings and the changes in the energy conservation and emission reduction efficiency of China’s construction industry is pointed out,and the mechanism model of the development of prefabricated buildings affecting the energy conservation and emission reduction efficiency of the construction industry is established for the following article.Lay the groundwork and provide sample analysis data.Secondly, build a mechanism model of the development of prefabricated buildings affecting energy conservation and emission reduction in the construction industry and empirically analyze the key factors affecting the efficiency of energy conservation and emission reduction in the construction industry.Based on the TOE theoretical framework, the mechanism model of the development of prefabricated buildings affecting the energy conservation and emission reduction efficiency of the construction industry is established, and the research hypothesis that the development of prefabricated buildings affects the energy conservation and emission reduction efficiency of the construction industry is put forward from the three dimensions of environment, organization and technology;the use of crawler technology, etc. The method solves the problem of insufficient data of indicators related to the development of prefabricated buildings;on this basis, based on the stationarity test and co-integration test, three key factors, namely the assembly rate, policy effectiveness, and number of patent applications at the emergence stage are identified, representing the organization of prefabricated buildings,The three dimensions of environment and technology have an impact on the energy conservation and emission reduction efficiency of the construction industry. Finally, the key factors in the development of prefabricated buildings are analyzed to promote the threshold factors and effects of energy conservation and emission reduction in the construction industry.Build a threshold regression model for the development of prefabricated buildings to affect the efficiency of energy conservation and emission reduction in the construction industry, and analyze the impact of assembly rate, policy effectiveness, and the number of patent applications on the threshold impact of energy conservation and emission reduction in the construction industry. The empirical results show that there is a double threshold effect on the impact of the assembly rate and policy effectiveness indicators on the energy conservation and emission reduction efficiency of the construction industry, while the impact of the number of patent applications on the energy conservation and emission reduction efficiency of the construction industry does not have a threshold effect. The assembly rate in the range of 50%-60% has the most significant effect on promoting energy conservation and emission reduction in the construction industry. The policy effectiveness only plays a role in a certain range. The environmental benefits of the final prefabricated building also depend on other factors. The empirical results will provide a theoretical basis for improving the status quo of energy conservation and emission reduction in the construction industry and enhancing the environmental benefits of prefabricated buildings. This study applies crawler technology to solve the problem of insufficient data on the development of prefabricated buildings, empirically studies the mechanism and effect of the development of prefabricated buildings on energy conservation and emission reduction in the construction industry, and reveals the current stage of the assembly rate, policies and standards related to the development of prefabricated buildings to promote energy conservation and emission reduction in the construction industry. The threshold effect of the row has expanded the current research results on the environmental impact of prefabricated buildings from the micro-level to the meso-level,established a connection mechanism between prefabricated buildings and the low-carbon transformation and development of the construction industry, and answered the current widespread concerns of the government and the industry. The significance of the development of prefabricated buildings in promoting the low-carbon transformation of the construction industry, and the development of prefabricated buildings is proposed, which provides theoretical support and quantitative basis for comprehensively promoting energy conservation, emission reduction and low-carbon transformation in the construction industry.
