Research On The Integration Of Paper Cutting Into Chinese Character Font Design

Combined with practice,this paper analyzes and studies the integration of paper-cut into Chinese character font design,in order to integrate the Chinese traditional culture represented by paper-cut art into the design works in many aspects.In China,the works about the integration of paper-cut art into font design are very limited or still have deficiencies.Therefore,how to organically integrate paper-cut art into Chinese character font design has become a topic of great research significance.Chinese paper-cut art is the representative of national graphics.It has a long history,profound cultural heritage and rich aesthetic value.It is a valuable intangible cultural heritage of China and the world.Chinese paper-cut art has unique formal characteristics,which are embodied in: the selection of themes is diversified,and the coexistence of allegoricity and symbolism;The composition form is flexible and ingenious,and the performance techniques are not limited to one style;The use of color is bold and free,with both single solid color and multi-color contrast and unity.At the moment of emphasizing cultural inheritance and innovation,integrating Chinese paper-cut art into Chinese character font design is of great significance to carry forward Chinese traditional culture and promote the diversification of font design style.Chinese character is a symbol carrier for recording and spreading Chinese culture,which is widely used in various design directions.The design idea of Chinese characters is exquisite.Its modeling is a graphic art formed by the construction and combination of strokes.Its modeling language attaches great importance to beauty,which contains the laws of beauty such as rhythm,rhythm,density,clutch and so on.Moreover,since ancient times,Chinese characters have rich experience in decoration.At present,it is feasible for designers to integrate and create with paper-cut art in retaining the basic modeling form of Chinese characters.Integrating paper-cut into Chinese character font design is also a very important font design direction.To sum up,this paper aims to provide new design ideas for designers in inheriting Chinese traditional culture and make a meaningful attempt to improve the artistic style of font design with distinctive Chinese characteristics.This paper is mainly divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction,which mainly discusses the research background,research purpose and significance,research status and research methods.Through these analysis,it lays a good foundation for the following writing.Secondly,it discusses the concept of Chinese character font design and the three creative sources of Chinese character font design,which is the key point of design practice from the perspective of Chinese character font.Thirdly,it makes an in-depth analysis of Chinese paper-cut art,and discusses in detail the folk cultural characteristics and aesthetic value of paper-cut,which provides a sufficient theoretical basis for this research.Then it goes deep into the design and implementation,and discusses the four design principles,five creative thinking and five design methods of integrating paper cutting into Chinese character font design.In the last chapter,according to the scientific design process and combined with some design projects,the author analyzes and studies the integration of paper cutting into Chinese character font design.
