Research On A New Process For Jianshui Purple Pottery

In the last two decades,with the continuous integration of new concepts,technologies and media,the Jianshui purple pottery industry has developed rapidly,with an output value of nearly 3.5 billion yuan in 2021.At this stage,academics are increasingly concerned about the role of technological changes in the Jianshui purple pottery process in the formation of Jianshui purple pottery culture and the development of the industry.The new techniques of Jianshui purple pottery refer to the various craft techniques and special techniques that have been innovated and developed from the traditional hand-pulling,carving and filling of clay and unglazed grinding processes.A summary and analysis of the development process and specific methods of the new craft of Jianshui purple pottery will help to enrich contemporary theoretical research on the art of Jianshui purple pottery and contribute to the creative innovation and industrial development of Jianshui purple pottery.This paper briefly describes the Jianshui purple pottery and its traditional process through a long-term field survey and the collection of information on the innovative process,and then summarises and analyses the factors that led to the creation of the new process.The new process is then analysed in depth in the case of large clay plates,dry billet carving and filling,and the stirring of clay on the billet,and the basic features and innovations of the new process in the production of purple pottery.Finally,based on the research base and current situation of the new craft of Jianshui purple pottery,it is proposed that its future development requires the construction of a consensus standard for the craft,and the development strategies and suggestions related to the new craft of purple pottery are discussed in terms of accelerating academic research,parallel development of the craft and protection of non-heritage,and emphasis on education of craft knowledge.
